Definition of Watt's value to the team

Also to the obvious flaws on counting on defense, and in particular one that relies almost solely on one player, to win you games. Does any team with a modern offense completely fall apart when one defensive starter is out?

we happened to play the hardest part of our schedule early on. While I think he would have impacted a few games I think turnovers were still our biggest nemesis in a few losses.

Sole dependance on 1 defensive player is actually a big issue. There are teams having to play weekly missing quality starters on D, and they don't miss a beat.

Need depth in a big way, and some cornerbacks who can cover when the pass rush fails.

And an offense that can score more than 18 PPG.

Sadly. As brought up on the day of the game.

with that many turnovers vs. cincy. watt should have been on the sideline as we knelt the game away with any competent offense

The more I think about this the more crazy and mind-numbingly dumb it seems. The secondary relies on Watt's pressure or they're merely average. Pass rush dried up when he was out of the lineup, they ignored depth after what happened last year.

And if they can't keep the score low they're cooked because of the design of the offense.

Who's vision of winning football is this? Rooney? Colbert? Tomlins? All of the above?
