Post your first post season mock draft here

    Steelers mock draft.

Now that the college season has ended we can better project the mock draft.

    1. OT Broaderick Thomas. A big man with the right measurables and agility. He will start at RT as a rookie. A major plus as a run blocker. Good vs. the pass though he needs some work to round out his rough edges. He should be on the board for us.

    https://georgiadogs.com/sports/football/roster/broderick-jones/6430

2A. Wow the Bears pick which would be a first round pick if Miami didn't have to forfeit their 1st rounder. DT / NT Sikia Ika. A pure run defending beast who's near improbable to move off the line he will add value to the bese run defined as a 3-4 NT, or a 4-3 DT. Also as a DT in the nickel or dime has special value on the goal line or in short yardage situations.

    https://baylorbears.com/sports/football/roster/siaki-ika/11335

2B. OG Andrew Vorhess. A big man who is skilled at pass blocking and run blocking moves from tackle to guard in the pros. He a mean steak and is very strong.

    https://usctrojans.com/sports/football/roster/andrew-vorhees/13028

    3. ILB Jack Campbell. A good tackler with range, and size. Productive in coverge active hands. A team captain and a leader. A long term solution.

    https://hawkeyesports.com/roster/jack-campbell/

    4. QB. Stetson Benett. A QB who's accurate deep, runs as quick as they come and shined in many games vs. SEC competition and in the post season. Very smart and accurate. Good but not very good or great velocity / Arm. Very Doug Fluite-like.

    https://georgiadogs.com/sports/football/roster/stetson-bennett/6392

7A. S. Ku'Ayir Brown, This ultra collector ball athlete has 9 carrer int, 3 forced fumbles and 3 fumble recoveries. He is a deployable man to our sub packages. I like this guy!

    https://gopsusports.com/sports/football/roster/ji-ayir-brown/12599

7B P Austin McNamara. Only averaged 48.2 yard pre kick last year. Forces a lot of fair catches.

Tomlin hasn't won a playoff game in seven years and counting. The earliest will be eight years. I guess that in Art Rooney's II, opinion is worth a 3 year extension.

Our 2024 draft looks to be grade A. Our 2023 draft is an A. The roster is talented, but Mike Tomlin is still the head coach.

*** Mike Tomlin is the best coach since the AFL- NFL merger that has not won a playoff game in 8 seasons or more. It's either him or Lewis. ***

Pretty dog-gone good draft other than the QB and Punter. Too many other needs to squander these picks. I am seeing Campbell on a lot of mocks to us. Perhaps that is where you picked up on it. Maybe someone to keep an eye on.

I still think we need a WR early. I may have taken a receiver with our first #2 pick and used the QB and Punter slots for DL depth. It all depends on who is there when we select.

By the way Vorhees is the son of a co-worker of mine. That would be great to get him.

Help me find my post proving I am a Yinzer!

I will tip my hat to Tomlin if he has a winning record and the team makes the play-offs in the upcoming season.

Ask him how strong his dad is! You should get quite a story. A smart guy. I view him as a pure power guard ,with tackle ability vs the pass.

Unless you are sold on Pickett or any of our QB's for that matter ( I am not ) Bennett is worth is worth a 4ht round pick. He faster/ quicker than Pickett, smarter, and more productive, and more accurate in the premier division in college. Check him out!

A 3rd receiver can be Simms or Austin. Besides they way Pickens is developing there won't be as many footballs to go around.

I saw Bennett last night. Complete mismatch, men playing against boys. You can't put 100% stock in that game, he struggled and was called out by his coach against OSU. Something too, I watched him both games, his teammates don't seem to like or respect him. Not a good quality in a QB. Just my gut feel.

I agree on WR help. We need weapons.

Drafting a QB in the 4th? No..

Drafting a punter? Have we not learned from Harvin and the buff kicker before him? and Harvin isn’t going anywhere. Much easier to pick up an undrafted guy for competition.

Weird Joel would want a punter when he loves our 7th rd ILB pick from last year. Why not try and find another one of these instead of using it on a punter?

didn’t hear about him not being liked by teammates but be does have that “its all me” smugness about him.

I went from rooting for UGA to rooting against them in 1 year due to the amount of talent they have.

I could see him having the same type of meltdown as Mac Jones once he gets to the NFL and gets baptized by fire.

I don't put much stock in a blow out game but his passes were 18-25, 305 yards which is excellent. The guy is very QUICK and only gave up nine sacks all year vs. excellent competition. The year before he also only gave up nine sacks. He can run it too and will on occasion but won't get hurt like the smaller QB's do in NFL that run too often! But enough on that topic the guy is a good passer. I have no clue about his football character, I'd say it good from what I can tell. Some football players won't view him as a man being his size, but after he plays some the will respect him. That down the field accuracy..If I were the GM or a coach I would quietly as Pickens what he thinks of him! I see don't see him being hit as a runner or passer or hurt ever so his durability is excellent. Pickett gets dinged up quickly. You could say this guy is growing on me!

Hearing him in a small number of interviews, he comes across as a guy that’s not very smart and not a leader.

I totally get why guys wouldn’t like him.

I don’t see him being successful as a pro.

Joel , I love the draft other than you wasting a 4th round pick on a scout team QB in Bennett. That 4th round pick would be better served to use on a WR or another linebacker. Because our quality at linebacker leaves a lot to be desired.

I see Stetson Bennett is the new shiny object on the board.

We are all set at OLB with Watt and Highsmith. And we have Jack and Robinson at ILB plus I mocked drafted ILB Campbell is round three.

Slightly OT but am reading where the Bears might not go QB with the first pick. GM is happy with Fields progress. Maybe shiny new QBs to solve all of a team's problems isn't a thing anymore?

They need to trade down to recoup the pick they lost for Chase.

Unless they think Fields is done why would they? “Field” more offers and trade down for more picks. I will be shocked if the Bears do this because they have been horrible when it comes to making the right move.
