We Would Have Beat the Bills

Pretty sure this is how I’m gonna feel next week.

Our team was on the rise and we were gonna get the W.

The rest of the league should be sending Xmas presents for life to Joe Flacco. They know what he did for them.

I don't know if the Steelers would had won because of the Allen factor. I believe the game would be closer than the game earlier in the season.

I mean anything is possible but the Steelers had 5 takeaways against the Bengals in the season opener and it was still a miracle win. The brand of football the Steelers now play under Tomlin isn't built to beat good teams. It puts way too much pressure on the players and leaves almost no margin for error which is ironic considering how conservative it is.

Exactly, and that was against a Bengals team that didn't play starters in preseason with Burrow coming off of an appendectomy. Buffalo is rolling right now.

Unless Buff called off the dogs we likely wouldn't have stayed within 30.

Let's hope Rooney and Tomlin aren't content with this brand of football going forward.

...with Tribusky at QB, which is not the same team (see: the difference in ending the two Ravens game)

Dang Tomlin ... the year we have the team in place to go all the way, and he doesn't get us into the playoffs

                  The Bills play in Cincinnati?

What the hell does the Cincy game with Mitch have to do with a hypothetical ills rematch? Could’ve just used the first Bills loss IMO.

Regardless.. I actually think our D and O were playing much better and our running attack would’ve helped shorten the game and keep it close enough for some KP clutch football in the 4th quarter.

We will never know.. but I know for a fact the Bills didn’t play us in Cincinnati vs Mitch in that first game.

Flacco definitely screwed us. Coworker from Baltimore was like “Flacco did his job”

I can’t believe the Jets sat their 2nd day pick and played Flacco out of fear but they did they same schitt with Mile White.

When you don’t want a QB controversy with the Jets, just play Flacco.. smh.

                    oh well.

Over the past 7 games played:

                      Steelers have scored: 28, 16, 13, 24, 14, 19, 24

                      Bills have scored: 35, 35, 32, 20, 24, 28, 31

Nothing would really surprise me but I think it's more likely that we would get the beat down with a score something like 31-17, than us beating them. Our offense is just far too conservative right now. And we'd be playing in their house.

That said, I think we'd give a better showing than Miami will. And I sure wish we had the chance to watch the Steelers one more week.

I tend positive but nah, that ain't likely.

                        I WILL suggest THIS chance.

Bill do have "Bad Allen" just like we had "Bad Ben".

If Bad Allen shows up yeah, we could beat them as our defense is crazy opportunistic.

Yep, that why coach Cowher said the games in September are just as important as the ones in December and January.

Also, it's not only who you play but when you play them. The second half of the season I firmly believe we would have beaten the Jets and Miami.
Help me find my post proving I am a Yinzer!

I will tip my hat to Tomlin if he has a winning record and the team makes the play-offs in the upcoming season.

I'm using Cincy as an example because it's the only team the Steelers beat this season with a winning record outside the Ravens who had their backup QB in the game. I'm high on KP but some of you guys are acting like the offense was scoring a lot more points with him, the issue is the offense itself is not built to score that many points regardless of who the QB is. Which sort of goes back to my point about how this team is not built to beat good teams.

But if we are using tremds, the Bills failed to score 20 in 2 of their 3 losses.

Odds aren't good, they are a better team.

But you don't win shootouts with the Bills. You play clean and force THEM to make mistakes.
