    Fun fact.
Not only have I never been to a Steeler game...
I've NEVER ONCE been to a real live major level sporting event, not NFL, NBA, MLB, or NHL, not once EVER.

58 years old no live Pro sports.

Just a whole bunch of Probowls, while growing up in Hawaii. Happily that was in the 70s when half the AFC roster was full of Steelers.
I went to my first game at Heinz Field 2 years ago. I went to a preseason game at 3 Rivers when Kordell was the QB.

Those are my only 2 home games and I grew up 15 minutes from the stadium. Back in the day we used to talk about going to games but then we would walk outside in December and feel that wind and said nah… lets just watch on TV.

Never been to PNC Park for a Pirates game as well.

I’m spoiled now. My company will host suites at NBA or MLS games so my expectations are a bit high these days. Now that I can afford it, if I go to a game I’m splurging on some good seats.

but honestly, the game is much better on TV at the house where the beer lines are shorter and I can take a dump in peace.

I can hear it now. “Tomlin better be 12-5 and reach the AFCCG or its a failed season”

I'm not so sure about 12-5 but it will be a tough pill to swallow if they can't manage the postseason after the finish they had this season.

Only 2 home games 25 mins from the stadium.

jesus, I saw people giving away tickets at the San Diego playoff game in 09 cause they had friends back out.

all you needed to do was go by the stadium and you could score tickets cheap.

where’s “Mr great Steeler fan cause I’m from Pittsburg” to comment.
          86

a guy accusing me of not being a real Steeler fan because I live in another state.
yet I’ve seen as many games in a 8 day span in the 09 postseason

I wasn’t living in Pittsburgh in 09. I left in 91 right after high school. We grew up pretty humble once the Steel Mills closed at in the early 80’s.

As much as I loved the Steelers I was a teen before I was even allowed to go uptown by myself or with friends so it wasn’t in the budget, nor a priority. O had more important things on mind at that age.

Weird flex, good job attending games to prove your love.

I think you totally misunderstand the importance of growing up in Pittsburgh as a Steeler fan. Its not how much you paid or how often you attended the games. It was the ONLY game in town. We were born into this… sorry if you don’t understand.

I think this is the only year in his career that Tomlin wouldn't have made the playoffs if the current system was in place for his whole tenure.

I think we're more likely than not to make the playoffs next season.

But with some really good teams in the AFC, an early (and maybe lopsided) exit is a reasonably possibility IMO.

wasn't really trying to flex, cause i know im a better fan then you.

just weird that you attended only 2 home games being only 15 mins away, i've grown up 15-20 mins away from the giants home stadium (and later the jets) and have seen more games of them live then you're favorite team.

its more of 86 trying to flex his fandom being better cause he was from the area. i'm a bit surprised he didn't come bashing you considering the circumstances.

BTW, i'm sure 09 wasn't the only time fans gave extra tickets away. that was just an example of how you cna get cheap tickets even sometimes to a playoff game
