I know it won't be a popular thought but Matt Canada needs to brought back for the sake of our improving offensive capabilities under his leadership. He's proven to be the real deal this season. You have to admit he's overcome the stench of Tomlin's bad choices. For one starting Trubisky after camp was the death blow to our season, when Pickett was clearly the best QB on the roster in the preseason. It cost us the playoffs yet again.
He's not the only one making questionable decisions. Khan signed Johnson instead of the reliable hands of Juju. Speaking of reliable hands Connor Heyward has the most reliable hands on the team. Gentry is quite good in this regard as well. They should be elevated above the regressing Freiermuth in 2023.
Speaking of Connor, his brother Cameron almost cost us the game with his needless roughing the passer penalty. You cannot slam a QB to the ground as hard as he did. This is a veteran player who should know better. End of rant. Let the offseason begin.
