I don't believe the coaches teach "to many mistakes".
The INT's in killed this team's chances to win the game.Comment

The D not stopping the run was the turning point. The 1st big 50 yard run that set up the first TD was the turning point.
If we didn’t give up that score, Mitch never had to push to get the ball down field and take chances.
Why is that so difficult to remember the D giving up big runs before the turnovers ever happened?
Lol. I’m just messing around. It was really difficult to see that the turnovers and missed FG were the reason for the loss

Turnovers are generally a key stat in the out come of any game.
Even though the Ravens ran for 215 yards it was a one position game/FG game. The Steelers could had one this game without the mistakes that were committed by the QB.Comment

Id agree with you if the Ravens didn’t have a huge start running the and score the first TD before any TOs happened.
The Ravens won before the 1st TO happened.
The fact that our safeties were our leading tacklers could have told me we lost without even seeing the game.sigpicComment

One possession and less than a 3 point game. Let's blame it on the Ravens ability to run the ball. The D not stopping the run was the turning point. The 1st big 50 yard run that set up the first TD was the turning point.

I blame the loss on the Steelers mistakes when they had opportunities to score at least 9more points in a close game. I can't make this ish up.
3 Turnovers told me the Steelers loss this game. Turnovers and mistakes are usually the difference in close games.Last edited by BURGH86STEEL; 12-11-2022, 06:57 PM.Comment

in spite of the INTs, we might have won if we'd been able to stop the Rats from running the ball when it was obvious that's what they were going to do
part of that is on the players, part is on the coaches
neither performed particularly wellComment

Wrong. We probably would had won the game without the Turnovers. Two turnovers happened in FG position. There was also a blocked FG.
Why is this so difficult to explain to people? I will keep it simple. Regardless if the score is 40 to 39 or 16 to 14. Mistakes or turnovers are usually the difference in the outcome of a game. Every now and then a coach gets bold and doesn't take the points ie FG in a close game.Comment

What about the 17 yard punt that preceded the 10-0 lead.
That came before the first TO as well.
Does the poor D and ST play have any impact on the game or is it prinarily just about mistakes by the O?sigpicComment

WE ALSO PROBABLY WIN THAT GAME IF WE CAN STOP THE RAVENS FROM RUNNING THE FOOTBALL
Why is this so difficult to explain to people? I will keep it simple. The team that wins at the LOS usually wins the game. And the team that takes away the one dimension of an opponent's one-dimensional offensive attack will most likely beat them.Comment

17 yard punt is an execution MISTAKE.
What execution MISTAKES ON D HAPPENED? I don't know?
What I can tell you is that the turnovers that happened in scoring position cost this team a chance to win the game today.
16-14 game. The Ravens running the ball game was the difference in the game?
I beg to differ. In all my years watching this game the Steelers mistakes and turnovers were the difference.Comment

To take this to the extreme, if we give up 100 points and 1000 yards rushing, but commit no turnovers, we will likely win that game? If TOs are all that matters then clearly we would overcome 100’pts and 1000 yards rushing.sigpicComment

Last 2 drives?!? Try last two games against Baltimore. Last season was a barn burning 250 yards rushing.Comment

If turnovers were all that mattered, you'd just take a knee three times and punt every possession.Comment
