I guess I made an assumption of where bleacher report got his 40 time.
    Trolls are people too.

      This.

He didn't run anything official. The 4.45 is apparently something he ran at some time in college. We don't know the date of the method for the timing.

I don't think he has that kind of Jets. Even at Bama, "speedster" is not what comes to mind watching him.
That said, Emmett Smith was no speed demon either, so 40 times don't make a runningback in my view.

I do think Shawn is right in that injuries play a role in what we are seeing this season.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

        TCFCLTC-
The Coach Formerly Considered Less Than Cowher

We’ll hear more about it at seasons end.

I'm not sure we can compare RBs from the 90s to guys from today. I don't know if a guy like Jerome would be all that good in today's game (just like a guy like Casey wouldn't have the same value today). I think Harris would have been amazing if we put him on a team from that decade (especially with that Cowboy's OL...it might be like when he was at Bama).

And I'd imagine that Smith's speed relative to his era was probably better than Harris's speed (whatever it actually is) relative to today because everyone has gotten faster in the 30 years between when those two guys were drafted.

I agree that he can still be a good player. I have never said otherwise (unlike someone like Joel). Just that he'll have to be more like Bell where he has consistently good runs becuase he doesn't have (or at least hasn't shown) great speed to get those really big runs like other elite runners in today's game.

But I did find it pretty crazy all the pushback I was getting in the offseason when saying the Harris wasn't fast. Or when I was saying that he was probably the 3rd best back in the division because we have Chubb (clearly better) and Mixon (probably better) in the division. I think the thing that makes Harris good is that he's good at everything from rushing, to receiving, to pass-pro.

But so far, he hasn't really shown himself to be elite at anything. Which is fine. Probably a bit disappointing for a 1st round RB selection (so far). But he's still a good player.

It was a great run. I always kind of worry when we have him run wide, but he did a good job getting to the edge

Always nice when the RB doesn't get contact until ~15 yards downfield. I hope we get more great blocking like that moving forward.

Have you had a chance to see the kid from Texas? Bijan Robinson? Or Chase Brown of Illinois?

it will be interesting to see if McFarland is used at all in the passing game tonight against the Colts to add a new wrinkle.

Master Teague back in the fold.... yea, I guess.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are bringing ten players back in 2023.

                      In this story:
                      Pittsburgh Steelers
                      PITTSBURGH STEELERS
PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed 10 players to future/reserve contracts as they begin their offseason.

The team announced they have signed wide receiver Ja'Marcus Bradley, defensive back Duke Dawson, guard William Dunkle, linebacker Emeke Egbule, running back Jason Huntley, center Ryan McCollum, defensive back Scott Nelson, running back Master Teague, wide receiver Cody White and tight end Rodney Williams. All spent time on the Steelers' practice squad at some point during the 2022 season.

Bradley spent time with the Cleveland Browns in 2020 and 2021. He played in eight games, finishing with nine receptions for 124 yards.

Dawson was drafted by the New England Patriots in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft. He missed the 2018 with a hamstring injury and was then traded to the Denver Broncos where he played 26 games, with four starts. He suffered a torn ACL in 2021 and then joined the Steelers practice squad midway through 2022.

Huntley spent two seasons before the Steelers with the Philadelphia Eagles, where he totaled 18 carries for 70 yards.

White played in one game for the Steelers this season and played 15 in 2021 recording five receptions for 33 yards. He's been a member of the Steelers organization since 2020.

Teague began to accumulate some fans after turning heads at training camp and in the preseason. Unfortunately, an ankle injury ended most of his season before returning to the practice squad late in the year. He'll now return with another chance to shine.

McCollum has one start with the Detroit Lions in his career.

Dunkle, Nelson, Williams and Egbule have yet to play their first NFL game.
