    Strength of Schedule

Fairly tough game this week, then catch some breaks before BAL.

    I think a reasonable chance to go 5-3;

Good news is we match up well with Balt and Lamar. This is why I'd rather see a run than a tank. You tank against that group with a healthy team, then there is no window the next couple years. You start selling off pieces and start completely over.

would love to see us go 6-2 or 7-1 just to keep the streak alive and piss people off who hate that stat.

but mostly, I just want to win and see the team moving in the right direction.

Do you really want to go 5-3? Forget "sarcasm," I'm thinking about the lost season, the rebuild and the 2023 Draft. Is Picket "the answer?" If "Andy Dalton" is the answer, fine. I hate losing too. Honest.

I'd rather have wins (especially in the division).

But since we have the start of the season that we have, those wins are probably going to leave us out of the playoffs and with a not-great draft pick. Which is the worst of both worlds.

But I agree that losing against teams that aren't good is not a good sign. Although you do sometimes get teams like the Bengals who go from having 4 wins on season to the SB the next...but it's pretty rare I think.

Regardless of whether or not they manage to get to the post season, I just immensely enjoy watching the Steelers beat the crap out of LJ and will triply enjoy watching them beat the crap out of Watson.

Pittsburgh is playing with "house" money... They won at the Bungles' HOUSE...

Andy Dalton WAS the answer to Pittsburgh's defense... I'd love to go 8-0, but 6-2 is more achievable... I think 5-3 is the LAST thing anyone, be they football lifer (a Steeler lifer never quits on the Steelers...) like you, or Steeler lifer like me, wants....

that win comes with an asterisk though; Burrow did not play in preseason and he was coming back from ruptured appendix surgery. Even with that he still almost lapped the Steelers in passing yards. I don't expect he will play as poorly this week.

Agree, but not having Chase is a problem for him. If we don't get pressure, we're in trouble. I think we'll get pressure.

what was Burrow’s excuse for getting stomped by Cleveland? lol

We beat Buffalo 2 years ago in the first game too. I think we game plan a little too much for that first game and put it all on the line.. which has resulted in injuries that set us back the next few games.

Maybe we should lose the first game and have snap counts for key players if the first game is against a good opponent.

When they do the retrospective of the 2020's, I doubt there will be any punctuation marks... The Bungles crapped-out...

Didn't see that game but Iooking at the score I would say it looked more like a CIN defense problem than a Joe Burrow problem. CIN only had the ball for a little over 23 minutes.

I guess when Steeler coaches have a couple of months to gameplan they can actually put together something decent. It's the weekly gameplans that have a lot to be desired
