Why is NFL[dot]com omitting the contributions of George Pickens??

I need to rewatch the game, but didn't Pickens have a few catches for a few dozen yards??

This is from another poster, so I'm not making stuff up... And this was ONE drive:
Pickett had completed passes to Freiermuth (13 yards), Claypool (12 yards), Pickens (9 yards), Pickens (5 yards) and Claypool (10 yards).

Will such an omission be reflected in the rookies YTD stats?? Will this effect ROY voting?? Will this affect future contract negotiations?? If I'm Pickens' agent, I'm asking these questions, and if these questions aren't being asked, maybe I *should* be Pickens' agent... Call me, George....

The Steelers OC is omitting Pickens' contributions. The guy disappeared from the offense in the second half until late 4th qtr. How does this happen?? Tomlin's excuse for Canada's playcalling; 'their coverages dictated we change some things up'.
Huh? By putting in Gunner instead?!? And even if they were doubling Pickens then someone else has gotten be open right? Canada's lack of scheming is so bad I wonder how long Tomlin is going to cover for the guy before he feels enough heat to make a change.

Tomlin's boss has long since checked out. Tomlin has a job for life, which means Canada probably does, too.

Tomlin blames the coverage. I'd bet $100 he has both Mitch and Kenny pre-snap read and eliminate certain targets based on the look. i.e., play it safe - underneath, or over the top down the sideline.

Our top 3 WRs have the following catch rates: 57%, 58%, 64% (listed from lowest catch rate to highest catch rate).

These WRs are: Diante Johnson (57 targets), Chase Claypool (36 targets), and George Pickens (35 targets). Listed from highest targets to lowest targets.

Care to try to match with catch rate goes with which receiver?

Also...since Pickens has basically the same number of targets as Claypool now, I think it's pretty safe to say that his role is increasing because they are trying to get him the ball more (because I'd imagine that Claypool had an appreciable lead after 3 games or so). So, I think the PC talk is again just flotsam and jetsam trying to say nothing when asked questions.

Look at the actions, not the words.

Johnson still gets the most targets. Probably because he's the best route runner of the three (probably by a fair margin) and he's open the most.

FWIW, I think Pickens' role should continue to increase. And I bet it will as as the season goes on. But it does sound like he still has work to do on route running by most accounts. So I bet DJ is open more than he is.

Edited to add: I think that's exactly what the plan should be with Mitch. He seems to be good at turning the ball over when he tries to throw it over the middle for distance.

Eyelid cutting is another immortal Tomlinism, Bro, but why prolong the misery except for the fact that Artie owns the Steelers? Other than that I take your point completely.

I don't know who Artie is... so I'm unable to address your post aside from complimenting your unanimity with my points....
