But I admittedly haven't watched much of Miami.
He’a accurate but he doesn’t have a big arm so he isn’t going to hit Hill or Waddle in stride 50 yards downfield.

but his accuracy underneath is pretty good.

my concern is the passes over the LB’s.. he is good in that range and we are terrible covering that part of the field.

A guy who looks good when you expect him to be awful, and awful when you expect him to be good.

Brian Flores' return to Miami amid civil lawsuit 'non-story' for Steelers, coach Mike Tomlin

        JOE RUTTER | Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2022

Given the opponent on the Pittsburgh Steelers’ schedule this week, Brian Flores’ civil lawsuit that involves the Miami Dolphins is bound to be a storyline ahead of the matchup Sunday night in South Florida. Steelers coach Mike Tomlin wants no part of it. At his weekly press conference Tuesday, Tomlin

Hopefully, because I'm probably at the point where I'll be expecting him to be at least close to awful until he shows us a lot of good play.

Mike McDaniel on Brian Flores’ knowledge of Dolphins: This game is about the players on the field

            October 19, 2022

The Dolphins plan to have Tua Tagovailoa back at quarterback against the Steelers on Sunday night and someone who knows him well will be on the other sideline.

Steelers linebackers coach Brian Flores was the Dolphins head coach during Tagovailoa’s first two NFL season and the question of whether that will be advantageous for Pittsburgh was posed to current Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel at a Tuesday press conference. Flores may have familiarity with Tagovailoa, but McDaniel downplayed the impact that will have on how things unfold this weekend.

“I think this game is about the players on the field more than anything,” McDaniel said, via Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com.

Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin had a similar read on the Flores question Tuesday. He said he believes it’s useful to have that insight, but the notion of an advantage is “overblown” once players are on the field in the heat of the moment.

Difference there is - Fitzmagic did have games where he looked like an all-pro. Trubisky has never accomplished that.

Minkah Fitzpatrick heads to adopted home to face former team when Steelers play Dolphins

                CHRIS ADAMSKI | Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2022

Minkah Fitzpatrick appreciated south Florida enough that he made it his permanent offseason home, even if he lasted less than 17 months on the roster of south Florida’s NFL team. But while Fitzpatrick surely has racked up the miles flying back and forth from Pittsburgh to that area over the

we don’t need all that, just need enough plays to win games.

Brian Flores: I’m not looking at Sunday as a revenge game

Posted by Josh Alper on October 21, 2022

Steelers linebackers coach Brian Flores will be back at Hard Rock Stadium on Sunday night for the first time since the Dolphins fired him as their head coach earlier this year and his acrimonious departure from the team has made that return an angle this week.

Flores was fired after back-to-back winning seasons and subsequently sued the Steelers, three other teams and the NFL for discriminating against minority coaching candidates. Other coaches, including Panthers interim head coach Steve Wilks, joined the suit and Flores’ filing included allegations that Dolphins owner Stephen Ross offered to incentivize him to lose games in order to improve the team’s draft position.

Given that history, it was inevitable that Flores would be asked if he views this Sunday’s game as a chance to get a measure of revenge on the Dolphins.

“No, no,” Flores said, via Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com. “That’s not the way I’m looking at it now. . . . I don’t have bad memories of the place. I have a lot of good memories, but my focus is here right now. When I think of that place, I think of all the relationships that were built there that are bigger than football and will go a long way beyond football. There’s a lot of those that like that there, players, coaches, support staff. That’s kind of where my thought process goes.”

Flores’ full feelings about the Dolphins are likelier a bit more complicated than he let on, but none of them will allow him to do anything on the field Sunday night so keeping his focus on preparing the guys who will be taking snaps is likely the right approach.

Brian Flores knows Tua Tagovailoa well; does new system in Miami make that irrelevant?

Once again games boil down to execution by the players on both sides of the ball. The other guys get paid too.

If players and coaches were salty about a former team firing them, cutting them, or trading them then it's just business. Players and coaches should be motivated enough at the professional level to simply go out and win vs every team.
