2 ) Does the team make good halftime adjustments?

3 ) Does the team underachieve or overachieve? Use this year and the past 3 years.

sometimes… usually when they win

sometimes... usually when they win

sometimes.. depends on how realistic the expectations are at the beginning of the season.

2019) overachieved.. 8-8 and almost
making the playoffs with Mason and Duck was impressive.

2020) underachieved based on record but realistically we were all shocked at 11-0 but the last 5 games exposed our issues. Playoff loss was comically bad. So bad it was hard to admit we were supposed to win that game. I think that playoff game showed we were old as dirt and it was time to move on from some players.

2021) push.. that team wasn’t that good but we grinded out some wins and made the playoffs which most didn’t expect.

2022) push.. its too early to know after 6 games. We are young in some areas and have some new talent that is still developing. A lot of people are predicting 5 or 6 wins. I think we are better than that and once the schedule lightens up we should stack some more wins.


Overall.. I think most rational people knew we were in rebuilding mode these last few years and making the playoffs was a bonus, not an expectation when those seasons started.

Coaching effectiveness is measured by sustained success. Outsmarting people and halftime adjustments are things that you cant really measure, especially because you arent involved in the process. For example you may make the perfect play call based on matchup and defense and have a ball tipped at the line for an int that loses the game. You dont win for 15 years in the NFL if you're a bad coach, you just dont.
