Best S, top 3 CBs out vs TB

The Steelers will be without Minkah Fitzpatrick, Cam Sutton, Ahkello Witherspoon and Levi Wallace in Sunday's game against the Buccaneers.

Coming into this game, we offer the 30th best pass D. 30th...out of 32 teams. And now Fitz and the top 3 CBs are out. They will use injuries as the explanation for being torched on passing D but we were hardly any good to begin with. We gave up over 300 yards passing in the 1st half of the Bills' game. Way to go Shades.

Don't let this be his excuse for the pass defense. They were out for just one game. What about the other five? We could be last is pass defense after this game is through. I know changes need to be made.
Starting a certain coach who wears dark shades and chews gum during the game. Worry not the sideline catching does not suffer any because of it because Tomlin offers none. Its not like he had a play chart of reviews video for the players on the sideline either. I'd really like to hear being" Mike'd up "...but Tomlin doesn't seem to allow it.
Tomlin hasn't won a playoff game in seven years and counting. The earliest will be eight years. I guess that in Art Rooney's II, opinion is worth a 3 year extension.

Our 2024 draft looks to be grade A. Our 2023 draft is an A. The roster is talented, but Mike Tomlin is still the head coach.

*** Mike Tomlin is the best coach since the AFL- NFL merger that has not won a playoff game in 8 seasons or more. It's either him or Lewis. ***

Joe Biden still doesn't play in the NFL... He is referred to as "Cool Shades" by several Secret Service guard duties.... There is no "we..." The Steelers gave up over 300 yds passing against the Bills. I think Coach Austin, the DC, had better scheme up a way to bring more than the OL can block on every play... Brady can fit it into any size window, so it doesn't matter who's workin' the defensive backfield... The key is to "punch him in the mouth" (figuratively... a hit to the QB's head is illegal...) REPEATEDLY...

            Talent >>> coaching

Brady is going to dissect us tomorrow I think.

Edmunds and a bunch of scrubs.

I think it might be uglier than last week

At least you'll finally be correct about Pierre getting a start. Only took injuries to the top 3 CBs.

Joel made a time-based prediction, he has finally been proven right.

If he's hung over, maybe our secondary has a chance?

I think they'll be content to run all over the Steelers and get out with a 23-6-ish type win, don't see Brady chucking it all over the field, though when he throws he'll meet no resistance.

I'm watching these games to see Kenny develop at this point.

A week after the Bills rested half their team in anticipation of the Chiefs this week. Steelers truly are everyone's "get well" game this year.

                              Stuff I'll be watching for;
                              • Minimal mistakes; muffed punt returns, missed FGs, fumbles, INTs, missed blocks, missed holes, etc
                              • Minimal penalties; especially on offense where drives continue to be killed
                              • Warren; can he be another FWP as an UDFA that has starter potential?
                              • Receivers with no drops in a game
                              • Claypool with a catch and run for a TD
                              • OL gelling; continued improvement each week or determining priorities in the next draft
                              • Pickett to Pickens; a fun duo that will hopefully match the Burrow/Chase one
                              • Connor Heyward; was he worth the pick or just another 'we are family'?

That's one of the bright spots but even then you have to wonder if it's just opponents playing backups or soft coverages if/when games get out of hand.
