Pickett earns respect of Von Miller and Stephon Diggs

We lost the battle but Pickett won some respect for going at Shaq Lawson

“I liked it,” Diggs said. “As I saw him do it, I thought, ‘That took a lot of guts to do that from the quarterback position to push a D-lineman like that.’ Shaq ain’t no sucker.”
Miller said he just liked the message Pickett was sending about continuing to fight, even if the Steelers were getting smoked.
“I don’t think it was so much the hit that Shaq had on him. I think it was, ‘Our score, our situation that we are in, it’s not acceptable. This ain’t going to be us. This may be my first start. But I’m not accepting this. This ain’t good with me.’”

I heard Cam’s counter point that KP should let the big guys fight for him.

      Cam is right.

Hopefully our players learn from the few that fought for him.

Mike Evans has probably been suspended at least 3 games and fined who knows how much defending Brady.

Yeah, but that response might be the spark to get the whole team fighting for him so it all worked out.

Maybe he wanted to find out who will have his back moving forward? There's no real danger in pushing a defensive lineman, NFL fights are just a bunch of pushing and shoving. Maybe KP said, let me find out who will go to war with me? So, he started crap with a lineman.

A lesson from Chicago after they lost to WAS last night. Fields vented about being tired of being 'almost there.."..."a play or two away"... tired of hard work not leading to wins. etc. This is the danger of having a young QB on a crappy team. Fields has played less than two seasons and he is already frustrated by his team. CHI receivers are bad. Fields isn't getting help in the run game.

You come from a winning program and now all you do is lose it has a way of dragging on your mojo. Hope KP doesn't get frustrated with a crappy team around him.

The Steelers are not a crappy organization. The team loss 3 close games and were blown out in one game. It's KP's job to do his job and make the Steelers a better team. This is why QB's get paid more than any other player on the field. QB's can have an impact every area of the team.

His last two passes were the game-winning TD, both were dropped. I think the new coach/GM are scapegoating him and he'll be available next year when they draft "their" guy.

Hope he makes it, really like him.

Didn't say crappy org. It's a crappy team. It happens. Young players making mistakes. Weak talent on the bench. Tons of injuries.

                      Some years are like that.
