While Tomlin always exercises patience with players far beyond what most on this board thinks is reasonable - he has pulled the plug on players who won't produce. Off the top of my head, artie burns, scobee (terrible pickup), even gunner this year. There are many other examples (sweed perhaps?).

point is, I agree with the assessment of Harvin's performance the last 2 years. moments of brilliance offset by unforgivable mistakes. I actually believe Tomlin will pull the plug if this continues - but to the dismay of this board, he'll exercise more patience first.....

It's a good thing we have personal trainers for the team, but massages in anywhere close to " that area " should be kept private and done with respect and professionalism. From a fans point of view the wear and tear between our punter's " thunder thighs " for all that clacking and over use of punning is something I wouldn't joke about! Not in this Cleveland Brown's mess of times which put lots of players under scrutiny for legitimate massage needs.

Tomlin hasn't won a playoff game in seven years and counting. The earliest will be eight years. I guess that in Art Rooney's II, opinion is worth a 3 year extension.

Our 2024 draft looks to be grade A. Our 2023 draft is an A. The roster is talented, but Mike Tomlin is still the head coach.

Tomlin's admiration for veterans and lack of understanding on how the cap works and impacts the team hurts the Steelers. He kept Troy, Taylor and Hampton and the expensive salaries around a year too long, when the money would have been better served signing another player or extending our own.

The fan knew and would have gotten rid of the players you mentioned sooner and in many cases not drafting them or signing them is the first place. Harvin sucks. Last year he rated last among punters and IMO was beaten out last year by a player he cut. Or we should have kept Corliss Waitman, who is better that Harvin.

Many mistakes both big and small by Tomlin which is a reason why I think he should be fried.

Had a real nice one later on, but inconsistency is what you get with Harvin

Seems to be Tomlin's guy, no matter what

Harvin was ranked the 33rd best punter last season. So frustrating and tiresome to watch his inconsistent play over the last few seasons. Lacking draft picks I hope the Steelers can find some UDFA competition and I hope Tomlin can give the guy a legit shot to oust Harvin. With so many close games being played by the Steelers field position is critical and can be the difference between win/losses.

With 32 teams, that's quite a feat. He's worse than some backups? Where did you find this ranking?

ranked by what? Punting is hard to quantify IMO.

Punt average plays a part but if you are punting from your own 40 you aren’t trying to punt 70 yards.

Inside the 20? Sure.. but if you don’t punt as often you may have lower numbers.

What about return yards? Opponents had 137 return yards total. We ranked 2nd in the NFL in this department.

Maybe this is why we aren’t moving on from him?

                            33rd. Lol

really strange when you consider they want a ball control offense which plays the field position game all to no avail…. lose out on it when we exchange punts with the opponent. Brilliant !!!

The top 10 guys are averaging 3-4 more yards a punt. You watch another game and see these guys booming kicks. Yet, there was no competition for the job during the season Percy knuckling out 40 yard punts.

the tomlin agenda in full effect here
