Steelers who need to be replaced the off season. In order of importance.

    1) Mike Tomlin. Not making the winning a playoff game is six years and a losing season = Fired. No other head coach in the NFL can claim this because he doesn't exist! Maybe if you go back 20+ years, you will find one. We are off to our worst losing season since 1988. Maybe longer. Not an offense coach or a rebuilding type of head coach. And easy replacement to make. We will have the pick of the litter of new head coaches. Sean Peyton is out there.

2 ) Matt Canada. Shouldn't have been hired in the first place by Tomlin to run the offense. Tomlin knows nothing about the offense. Kenny Pickett will have to save his job, but he doesn't erase the lousy coaching/play calling before.

3 ) Devin Bush. Jack is our best inside linebacker. Spilane who replaces Bush on the field for the dime and sometimes nickel and IMO is just as good vs. the Run. Bush is our second or third-best inside linebacker. His contract is up after the season ends. Another easy replacement to make. His replacement might be on the roster now. I hear Tollin hinted there will be some new starters.

4 ) Najee Harris. Not good at running outside, is slow to the hole, and is very unlikely to hit the big play of 20+ yard plays in the rushing and passing departments. Do we spend a high pick on replacing him? It depends who's on the board and where we pick. For the right one, yes we can. Odds are the Steelers would not spend a high pick, to replace a 2nd year back, but the need is there. I'm just about done with him.

5 ) M. Adams. Not that I have anything against him, but he's strictly a back- up who starts due to Alualu's steep decline. Just a bottom-roster guy who starts. We obviously need better.

6 ) Kevin Dotson. A below-average starting guard in his third season. He's as good as he's going to get. Flag prone. Easily replaceable. I like him because he's a Steeler fan, but business is business. Step aside sir.

7 ) Dan Moore jr. I still have hope. He's only in his second season but, yeah we need better. Not an easy player to replace as we currently don't have a plan B to play left tackle.

8 ) Derrick Watt . Spending 4.9 million on a player we hardly use? Yep. No more. I don't care who his brother is.

9 ) Pressley Harvin III. He is, at best, average. Now I'm not advocating we spend a draft pick on a punter, but we should look for a better rookie free-agent punter in camp. We need to stop trading away lower draft picks, by the way. Our pot-bellied punter needs to go.

10 ) Teryl Austin. He was fired by an awful Bengals team, and currently coordinates the worst defense in the league. Out. Who hired him? Well that would be our #1 guy. Maybe Austin should rate higher.

    Thats all for now.

Tomlin hasn't won a playoff game in seven years and counting. The earliest will be eight years. I guess that in Art Rooney's II, opinion is worth a 3 year extension.

Our 2024 draft looks to be grade A. Our 2023 draft is an A. The roster is talented, but Mike Tomlin is still the head coach.

*** Mike Tomlin is the best coach since the AFL- NFL merger that has not won a playoff game in 8 seasons or more. It's either him or Lewis. ***

Good list. I would add alligator arms Claypool and Gunner to the list.

Harvin must really be in your doghouse to make your list twice

Any chance Kevin Colbert was part of the problem building the roster and we need to unwind from those past missteps?

He should get some of the blame, for sure.

Claypool is okay as our #3 WR. Gunn should be gone next year. At least he's sucks as our return man. Defensive special teams could be another story.

Actually agree with nearly everything you said, I opened this expecting to see Canada at the top and I was going to say I blame Tomlin even more but you have tha t right too. This chump is not simply the most overrated coach in all of sports, he somehow is considered beyond criticism by 99.9 percent of sports media. Terry Bradshaw is the only person I can name that called him out. And he of course was crucified for it. The only person I would disagree with is Derrick Watt, hell it's worth 4 million just to help keep T.J. happy.

This is the one time, I'll have to respectfully disagree with you on Claypool.

Watt has 30 mill to keep him happy. Screw that extra $4 mill.

Leadership: Tomlin, both head coordinators. There is and has been talent on this team(s). They are under coached and have under produced. Lies on the head coach.

Losses like today should result in change. And I don't mean the 'wait till after the season ' kind of change.
There are consistent underperforming players whose names seem to come up week after week.
Tomlin is promising changes. Let's see what they are. Of course maybe he's just rearranging the deck chairs....?
