Exactly. Tuitt quitting football, & Devin Bush being a bust didn't help.

Its definitely part of the problem. A huge part.

$30 mill for 1 player that isnt playing is a huge problem. That is a lot of money for one player and regardless of how great he is.. when he is in street clothes he isn’t helping us win games.

People love to bash this defense for being the most expensive.. well, guess why we are the most expensive defense?

and he isn’t coming back until week 10 IF we are lucky.

$30 million for a player they can't win without. This defense is a shell without Watt.

        When does Kazee come back?

Do they have Joe Haden's phone number?
Help me find my post proving I am a Yinzer!

I will tip my hat to Tomlin if he has a winning record and the team makes the play-offs in the upcoming season.

I view the rest of this season as an extended training camp/pre-season. Wins are nice, but the important thing now is to see what we have moving forward. A lot of focus will be on guys like Claypool, Dotson, Moore, Chuks, Bush & Jack, Edmunds etc. Who will be part of the future and who won't because there is no present to look forward to.
My problem with using the rest of the season as 'an extended training camp' is that half the guys you mention don't need more TC. They are vets that have been around. I would agree with it if the plan included a lot more playing of rookies and second yr guys. Problem there is the talent is pretty bare in terms of long term potential.

Here's my extended training camp roster:

            Warren over Harris
            Boykin over Claypool
Sims with more reps while DJ watches
            Leal over Adams
            Loudermilk over Alualu
            Robinson over Bush
            Pickens
            Muth
Find a punter to replace Harvin and get him reps

Shut Heyward down for stretches and try to extend his career.

            These guys are the future.
