Fans will be fine once KP8 gets a shot at this thing. MT was available for a reason. Every team needs a back up Q. MT can be our back up.

The city knows what Pickett brings.. and its HOPE.

Even if he stumbles, the fans will have hope that Kenny will be the gamer they watched every Saturday.

One of the weirdest moves I have ever seen the team make. Its like having a Deebo on the sideline..

what are you waiting for and why?
Yeah - they've created a situation that's not good for anyone, when Mitch struggles. A booing, KP chanting crowd isn't what you want in the home stadium.

Tomlin is on record, long before Ben retired, that he wants a veteran at the QB1 position. But I think they chose the wrong veteran.

If Mitch keeps struggling, the question becomes, how long does Tomlin stay stubborn with his veteran line of thinking?

Rudolph could be our backup too. Mitch is more athletic but not much else. Mason can throw the deep ball but not much else. I'm not sure which makes a better backup. But I feel like Mason would have beaten the cheaters.

If Mitch plays all year then Kenny was a bad pick. Get a DL or OL, let Mitch fail, get a QB in the top 5 next year.

You think another rookie would get a shot next year if we selected him?

              bwahaha… that is gold.

there is ZERO chance we select another QB in the first round next year.

Kenny Pickett is being groomed to be our next franchise QB...

If freaking Duck can start why can’t Kenny?

                  This is ridiculous.

Fans are chanting, now players are speaking out.. its getting ugly.

Well, whether we like it or not, Tomlin made his intentions clear LONG ago. He wanted a veteran to run the offense.

Duck started because there was no other choice, due to injury. CLEARLY, Kenny CAN start. It's just that Tomlin doesn't want him to. I guess there is a line of thinking that throwing a rookie to the wolves too early could be harmful. But I don't think that applies to KP.

And yes, if Mitch keeps stinkin' up the place, it's going to keep getting ugly and Tomlin is going to have to re-think his position.

Based on camp and pre-season, I would have ranked the QBs:
                    Kenny
                    Mason
                    Mitch

And we've gone with a bit of a reverse order! LOL

I haven't given up, but I won't waste any more beautiful sunny fall days on this crap show. The best that will happen if nothing changes is I will tape it and watch it on a rainy day.
Help me find my post proving I am a Yinzer!

I will tip my hat to Tomlin if he has a winning record and the team makes the play-offs in the upcoming season.

                        Given up on what??

We all knew the OL would struggle and whoever played QB would struggle.

This season is all about staying afloat to move forward.
Not once this off-season did I think ... "Hmmmmm, well maybe there's a chance"
                        This is a 7-10 - 9-8 team!

The reason Steelers fans have appeared to have "given up" is because they are knowledgeable fans, and know, as how things sit right now, there is little hope for the team winning much. Even in the 80's, there was some "hope" that things could turn around. We had a few playoff teams and even won a few playoff games. We had some players including Woodruff, Cole, Merriweather, Hinkle, David Little, Gary Dunn, Earnest Jackson, Lipps, Frank Pollard, Merrill Hoge, Hardy Nickerson, Keith Willis, Tunch Ilkin, Donnie Shell and for a few years Rod Woodson.

A 9-8 team with 5 yppa and 3.2 ypc? I seriously doubt that.

Going back to last season, the offense mostly plays in 1 of 2 scenarios - boring or maddeningly inefficient. Sure there might be a good play here and there, but mostly it's not fun to watch. It just frustrating. How many times can you throw to a guy 7 yards away from the sticks who's completely covered? I'm more surprised when it's not a 3 and out. And third and short is nightmarish.

I have almost given up on the Trubisky & Harris experiment. The OC hired by Tomlin is a clown. Which makes Tomlin the best made for tv coach in the league.
Tomlin hasn't won a playoff game in seven years and counting. The earliest will be eight years. I guess that in Art Rooney's II, opinion is worth a 3 year extension.

Our 2024 draft looks to be grade A. Our 2023 draft is an A. The roster is talented, but Mike Tomlin is still the head coach.

*** Mike Tomlin is the best coach since the AFL- NFL merger that has not won a playoff game in 8 seasons or more. It's either him or Lewis. ***
