    When Will Kenny Replace Mitch?

    What’s your prediction?

    This week?

    Next?

    Next year?

I have a feeling there’s gonna be some serious pressure on Mitch from the fans now that the Steelers are at home this weekend.

I kind of like the whole idea of history repeating itself with the rookie QB taking over in the second game of the season and never losing the starting job.
Obviously the standard is the standard.

If we fall down 10+ pts this Sunday and the O is stagnant, I'd make the switch. I think Tomlin's going to stick longer, as long as he possibly can.

        As do I.

        Reality?

Depends on Mitch failing badly. I doubt one game does it. Two bad turnover losses will do it.

If he doesn't make many mistakes, and we squeak out a winning record, I fear that we are stuck with Mitch for the season.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

The Coach Formerly Considered Less Than Cowher

Unless Tribusky really sucks i'd like to see at least 6 games from him before a switch so we have a decent comparison between the two.

            I disagree.
I don't believe in Mitch period.

We need to know if Kenny is the future.

I think he is the future, but if he is not, the sooner we figure that out the better.

If Kenny is clearly not an NFL starter, LET HIM have a trash season, we dip in a QB rich draft next season.

Bottom line, Mitch ain't it, find out if Kenny is.

The way I see it playing out is tough wins or close losses won’t be enough to change to Kenny these next 2 games.

However, the Jets game is when I think we could see Kenny IF Mitch continues to struggle or doesn’t improve.

Personally, I would hope we could announce that Kenny “could”
be inserted if we need a spark but that doesn’t mean he is ready to take the over. I know that is a pipe dream but it could give us a chance to see Kenny without having to commit to him.

Sounds crazy but I would hate to see us give up a few winnable games if the D is in 2019 mode and Mitch is doing an MR impression.

I want Quinn Ewers in 2025. Draft OL until then.

I predicted the jets game based on preseason play.

but it might be even before that if bitch keeps playing like this

I think we wait until we're eliminated from the playoffs (or at least close).

That seems like the Steelers way to me.

The Steelers are overly stubborn when they make decisions the fans/media don't agree with. They think it's a medal to be worn on their chest, like the sentiment to do real work on fixing the OL. They will dig their heals in on the QB switch. But if the offense doesn't do MUCH better than 5 yppa and 2.4 apc on the rush, then the fans will travel towards mutiny level, as they should. If we lose this game to the equally inept NE offense, heads will start to roll.

I'm beginning to sniff an injury excuse coming up; they won't want to admit being wrong about starting the wrong QB so Mitch will be "told" he has an injury that is causing him to sit and then see what happens: If Ken is an improvement, then he stays, if not, Mitch will "get better" and return as starting QB.

I prefer KP to have an orientation off the field before he sees the field. I want him to be put into an offensive situation that gives him the best possible chance to succeed. Give the Oline a chance to jell and improve. Try to establish a quality run game. Let him learn the game beyond half field reads ect.

I don't think it has anything to do with media or fan reaction.

They are just don't like to make knee jerk reactions. I think that's generally a good process because I think it means you make fewer mistakes in total. But you do get cases where you make decisions later than you might have otherwise.

Knee jerk reactions like believing the season was over with the loss of Watt? The Whisper attitude is that of a quitter.

Watt's a great player. No team's season is over because of the loss of one player.
