Najee's not getting a lot of blocking, but...

He seemed to only get what was blocked up for him. Not looking like a first round pick to me, definitely not on 2014 LeVeon Bell level right now, which is who he is often compared to.

Not sure I ever see him being a special back, further cements my viewpoint of not drafting backs early.

And now with his reinjured foot? Good thing Shades played him in that PS game two weeks ago. That was just brilliant.

There's really nothing special about Najee. He's good at everything, but not great at anything. He's a volume RB that needs holes opened for him. It was a pretty stupid pick at the time

While I am the "untrained eye" I think it's easy to armchair QB - it seems to me that Najee needs some better vision/adhoc given the shortcomings of this line. A couple of times I wish he would have bounced his run outside.

The one time (at least according to the anouncers) he did adhoc the run was designed to go left, he went right and had probably his longest run of the day.

But I think you guys are being a bit unfair about Najee. If you watched Cincy D, they were doing the same thing that all D's did last year. They were daring the Steelers to throw and kept their D compact. It's not because they were afraid of the run game.

They are making sure that those "behind the sticks" routes that the illustrious Matt Canada offense, stay behind the lines.

Tell me how many seam intermediate routes did the Steelers throw yesterday?

You can blame the line, but honestly, they looked a lot better overall yesterday than they did in preseason.

Often people discuss the concept of "you need the run to open up the pass" Well it works both ways...you need the pass to loosen up the run lanes...and the Steeler just aren't dong that...yet.

It's all Ben fault. He is a statue in the pocket...he's afraid to get hit...his arm is gone. Of wait, never mind.

I will tip my hat to Tomlin if he has a winning record and the team makes the play-offs in the upcoming season.

Truth be told I don't think MT, KP, or MR thru an interception in the preseason. Maybe that's why Canada prefers the 3 to 5 yard passes.
