    Dealing with reality

Apparently, someone forgot to tell the team they are now without their all-world, best defender in the NFL for the season, so they danced like clowns after the game, including head clown, Shades.

The reality of it is, this team is sunk with needing a PLUS FIVE turnover differential just to squeak out an OT win. And now, they are sans the best defensive player in the NFL moving forward AND without their only star RB, who Shades had play to weeks ago while trying to recover from a Lisfranc injury. And he has now reinjured it. Before going down, Harris rushed 10 times for 23 yards, that 2.3 ypc average. Yea, that's really worth dancing about, right?

Going forward, this team, with this offense with this QB and OL play and this lack of a rushing game, without TJ and a +5 turnover ratio, this team is only going to beat the weakest teams on their schedule. Cinci dominated this game, but not the turnovers. And with ALL those turnovers, the offense only put up 16 points. Horrendous.

Mitch is who I thought he was. He simply can't score points. And all of those short ball possessions catch up on the D, especially as the season progresses. The rush D, which mostly held up yesterday, will start to spring leaks as the season goes on. And without the biggest defensive star and our only star at RB, we are sunk.

It's the same story: zero offense, all up to D playing out its mind = wearing out. Boom. But hey, Shades can dance to tunes in the locker room that spews the "N word" in the lyrics. Great. We got THAT going for us.

I was repeatedly told here last night how awesome it was that they were celebrating their big win. Nevermind the 5 turnovers and other miracles they needed to squeak out a victory, when it's time to dance it's time to dance! Too bad the Pats lost yesterday. Would have liked to see what kind of moves Belicheck has

Brothers we won a game we had no business winning! We blocked an extra point with no time left. In OT their kicker who hit from 59 misses a 30 harder. We get 2 shots from Boz to win.

This was divine. There were miracles necessary for the Pittsburgh Steelers to win this game. I was so happy when Boz hit that 53 yarder.

Enjoy this for the week. At least wait until the next game.

Our team created 5 turnovers and other miracle plays which won the game.

Celebrating when you win is a bad thing now?

Whisper predicted a loss so naturally (news?, haha no pun intended)… but naturally he wants us to act like we lost.

I love seeing “fans” upset when Tomlin celebrates after a win. Just shows what side they are really on.

Celebrating in such dire circumstances with a song using the "n-word" in the lyrics? I thought the NFL went into conniptions when the N-word was used?

I will always celebrate a win against an AFC North rival, at their house, and after they competed in the SB. There were great plays made to create those turnovers as well. You act as though Cinci just gave the ball to us.

I'll celebrate the win and offer a little advice.....if the Steelers team and hierarchy bother you so bad there are 31 other teams to jump on the bandwagon. Losing fans like this is the equivalent of losing a french-fry or 2 from a McDonalds meal.

                See ya....

I will tip my hat to Tomlin if he has a winning record and the team makes the play-offs in the upcoming season.

I heard they also get naked and shower in locker rooms too.

How does the NFL let that happen?

He wants the team to act like Watt died.

So you're fine with songs like that? Are you also fine when the word is used by white people?

When your head coach dances like a teenager to an obscene song after eeking out an opening day win in which your two best players may be lost for the season, to me that's ridiculous.

I don't listen to music with that lyric. That said, I tire of the "they use the term" silliness.

                          To illustrate?

There is a reason that Jeff Foxworthy gets to make a career out of Red Neck jokes while Chris Rock cannot.

If Chris Rock was the guy who started that hook line it would not only not be funny, it would offend people.

                          It ain't rocket science.

That said, I do just wish everyone stopped using it so as not to confuse the morons who don't get the principle above.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

The Coach Formerly Considered Less Than Cowher

I as well wish the term was not in anyone's vernacular. The key is education, when you hear it being used.

It is no longer acceptable by anyone.
