Relax and have faith in Coach Mike Tomlin. He's future HOF, right?https://steelersdepot.com/2022/09/br...ffensive-line/
Yea, I hit it after the last 3 drafts. Or last 10.
But this team doesn't seem to think the OL is very important.

Try "Less is more, more or less," Whisp. You'd hope that Coach "Self Licking Ice Cream Cone" might have actually improved on 2021's ass whippings. BTW i'm not posting nor have I ever posted that Tomlin is a "terrible NFL Coach." He's a great Schmoozer and an Upper Middle Grade Coach. Give T a top flight OL and he's a SB contender in 2022.
Colbert had DB weaknesses and WR strengths. After the first 5 or 6 picks ANY NFL Draft is a crapshoot. GOAT Brady's living proof. Tomlin probably deferred to Kev until 2022. KP8 - an okay but unneeded Steeler pick - fits Tomlin's vast self promotion skills perfectly.
Deal with it.

haha..
there were a few times I threw a “whatever” in my reply to whisper because some of his post had the same energy.
No idea if whatever was a conspiracy nut tho. He always came across as a hater but I never got the natural news vibe from him.
whatever has disappeared yet the hater energy has remained strong on this site.Last edited by feltdizz; 09-06-2022, 09:51 AM.Steelers 27

If you asked a lot of Pittsburgh Steelers fans in February for their opinion of how the team would fare in 2022, they likely would have said, “I don’t know. That depends on who ends up being the quarterback.” Once it was known that Mason Rudolph would be joined by
I must also be MM, we made the same prediction for the season and for the same reason: the worst OL in the NFL. As a matter of fact, I am really every screen name who doesn't worship Shades, after all, only 1 person could possibly realize he isn't the 2nd coming. So anyone who doesn't worship Shades is actually really me.Comment

A couple weeks ago Tomlin said what they need out of Kenny is for him to be a playmaker. i.e., they need another Ben to rescue the poor planning and OL. If he isn't that guy, there isn't one on the roster.Comment

I.e. work miracles for the teams poor planning and execution on building an overall solid team, i.e. rescue us from ourselves and our sh-t poor planning. That's why they kept stressing QB mobility, because if the QB ain't mobile, he'll get killed behind the worst, cheapest OL in the entire NFL, and STILL they haven't addressed it any real way after last year's disaster on the OL. It's been a decade since they used a draft pick higher than a 3rd on the OL, A DECADE.Comment

It's bad right now but has to get better.
Individually, every one of these guys have show the potential to be better than they are collectively together. I really do think the coaches are asking guys to do things they haven't naturally done before and they are taking time to adjust.
The crazy thing is the person Ive always been most concerned about was Chuks and he's the least worrisome of the group.
I still think Mitch is running for his life behind this line a lot, but Kenny will slow the pass rush down because he'll make anyone who blitzes pay.
Your O playcalling and QB can overcome deficiencies on your Oline and when it does, guys can get better on top of that and I think we can get better as the season progresses.sigpicComment
