Don't lump me in with Madden, he said he may not play a few day before the game. Pickett had a few good practice before the game. And if was reported that he was going to play before the game. I still think it was a ballsy thing to say when Pickett wasn't showing much.

I'm glad he played well, but I want to see him complete passes down the field. Not 5 the 5 yard variety and the receiver does something with the ball, which he can do on this team. I fail to see what so funny.

What is so ballsy about being 100% wrong? He may not play? You do realize there is no real risk with that statement. Its just a negative hedge with an easy excuse if wrong. Who in their right mind would repeat what he said and give him credit for saying it?

I want to see Pickett take more shots downfield as well but he was playing with 3rd stringers. I think he did exactly what was expected of him and I’m encouraged by his first outing.

Even if Pickett bombed in his last practice he was playing. No way our FO doesn’t give the crowd what they want in the first preseason game.
