I'm kind of doubtful of the idea that starting threads = original thought. At least on this board.

We have many fairly long running threads that cover many / most of the ideas of new threads.

Like when someone starts the 10,000th "I think we should fire Tomlin" thread. It's pretty much always just regurgitation of the same few points that people usually bring up (and others usually refute with the same arguments they use).

We can have those same circular arguments in one long thread or 10 smaller threads (and often both). But there are rarely new ideas in those threads.

Thankfully, we are at a point where there will be actual football to talk about. So some new threads about current events keep popping up. Which is great IMO.

I agree that starting new threads on football is great, but one of us is against posting such information by starting them himself and would rather attack others by calling them names and such.

Who knows? This guy is a Steeler fan which I like. He might also like Italian food, classic rock music, similar movies, travel, share similar views on the world we can share here, but to do that he's needs to grow up and get past the insults of other posters.

It is weird, but it's a tactic used by someone who is dishonest, which is what I have said about Joel several times. He is trying to set up a situation where everything I post to the board is considered irrelevant or wrong simply because I don't post threads. Also it's designed to insulate him from debate, we must except his posts as insightful and right because he posts threads.
