One positive I seem to recall from his game yesterday was that he fought hard for extra yards after the catch. But otherwise, his receiving technique and ability to fight for the catch has been awful.

almost spit out my coffee reading this...good one ^^Sometimes rookies with raw talent surprise the league initially. But then tape is made and studied, tendencies are revealed and if there are weaknesses, they are exploited. Claypool has done nothing to elevate his game beyond natural ability. Route running is not crisp, his technique is poor and his predilection to always go awkwardly to the ground while short arming the ball is disturbing. Defenses have caught on. Chase may have to change his last name to clangpool. He isn’t winning any one on ones, and simply not a game changer.Comment
