Punter Cameron Nizialek. He has a shot make the team

" Nizialek began his collegiate career at Columbia and did not play as a freshman. As a senior, he led the Ivy League with 44.8 yards per punt on 34 attempts and was named second team All-conference. After the season, he enrolled at Georgia as a graduate transfer after considering offers from Clemson, Virginia Tech and South Carolina. Nizialek averaged 45 yards per punt on 61 attempts in his lone season at Georgia "

He punted last year for Atlanta and averaged 45.4 yards a kick. He might be better than Harvin who was garbage last year. Judging by the numbers he better than Harvin. Not sure about his hang time. Anyone know him? UGA fans?
Tomlin hasn't won a playoff game in seven years and counting. The earliest will be eight years. I guess that in Art Rooney's II, opinion is worth a 3 year extension.

Our 2024 draft looks to be grade A. Our 2023 draft is an A. The roster is talented, but Mike Tomlin is still the head coach.

*** Mike Tomlin is the best coach since the AFL- NFL merger that has not won a playoff game in 8 seasons or more. It's either him or Lewis. ***

I doubt it. 90% chance our punter is Harvin

I do know a UGa Fan, so I'll ask.
In the meantime, I've heard positive things about Harvin in camp so far this year... Given how the team sometimes withholds info that impacts players (3 years ago, no one knew that Boswell was hurt) I'm going to reserve judgement on Harvin for now

42.6 avg punt yardage. Stinko. 9th worst of all punters. Like our D: 24th in the NFL after spending all those high draft picks and FAs.

why do you add an extra "y" to Joe's last name when it's correctly spelled "Haden"?

          his name is Joe Haden.

            This is good.

Harvin needs competition and we need an option if he doesn't dramatically improve his consistency.

we already let Waitmann (who was superior to Harvin) go

unless this guy has a bionic leg, he's not going to take the job away from coach's favorite

I think that's accurate. I would actually place it closer to 98%.

Good point. I forgot about Waitmann. The team letting him go really pissed me off at the time.

No doubt whatsoever that Harvin was a disaster last season. Here is the thing - Harvin averaged 48 ypp in his final college season and 44.8 in his college career. Very similar numbers to Nizialek. Of course he has a shot to make the team but unless Harvin stinks it up again, I don't see this happening.

I'm just speculating but I think part of Harvin's problem was the stress he was experiencing because of his sick father. I expect him to bounce back and be much better in 2022.

I'm really pulling for the massive mofo, myself. He's unique being the size he is and being a black man playing in a position that isn't usually dominated by that color. He also seems like a good kid too. I was his biggest fan last summer when he was nailing those long punts in preseason. Hopefully, he'll return to form, and carry that talent into the regular season.

He averaged 42.6 yards a kick last year, good for 2nd to last in the NFL. He did not flash a big leg in the pro's and was inconstant putting the defense in trouble at times. 46 yards a punt is average in the NFL. I wasn't impressed with his hang time either.

Why would UGA fans know about Pressley Harvin? He kicked for Ga Tech.

I think Harvin was generally not that good last season. But he did kick well in the playoff game (when I didn't think we should have played him).
