    More 12 and 21 personnel?

    Najee-Gentry-Muth and Najee-Watt-Muth? Lol, I know...Watt, right.

But I'd like to see Canada take advantage of heavy run sets like these that the Steelers can pass out of as well. Get the defense's bigs on the field then split Najee out wide and go hurry up.

This is what teams do to the Steelers, exacerbating it by bringing their #1 WR (Landry, K. Allen on Spillane and Williams) to the slot and forcing huge mismatches. And as much as we all liked the Pickens and Austin picks, they're rookies and likely won't be playing 800-1000 snaps, so it's not like 4 and 5-wide will be our bread and butter.

Your offense can really go to the next level if the D has to guess on nearly every play.

I tend to agree, but having watched him in college I think Calvin Austin is going to change the dynamics on this offense a lot. I predict it will be difficult to keep him off the field because he will be so impactful when on.

He'd rarely see the field in 21 or 12, though. DJ, CC, GP would dominate the snaps. In fact, if Gunner makes the team as the designated returner, Austin had better play ST in some capacity or he might not get a hat.

        My understanding is that Canada's offenses favor TEs so its reasonable to speculate more 12 personnel. But they didn't draft two WRs and have another two that are above average just for them to sit on the bench. But it can also help the run game with the extra blockers;

The two tight ends create eight run gaps to defend while still maintaining four immediate vertical threats in the passing game. That makes the decision to drop a safety into the box to defend the run a difficult one.

10 personnel could be a lot of fun to watch with this team. Najee's pretty good picking up the blitz and I guarantee there is not a team in the league that has enough CBs to match all the Steelers WRs. I bet they will run a lot less empty sets as well.

I’d like to see the opposite as long as our QB IS Capable.

          DJ, clay,pickens/Austin

defense goes to dime, then we give 244 LBs Najee the ball

Actually I’d prefer a good mix. Keep the defenses guessing

I guess the key is that no matter what personnel grouping you're in, you'd better be able to run and pass and disguise it well. Hope the empty sets are a thing of the past.

I would agree with you...It does seem odd to draft the 2 WRs we did for Canada's offense (or lack thereof). They don't fit the puzzle.
Help me find my post proving I am a Yinzer!

I will tip my hat to Tomlin if he has a winning record and the team makes the play-offs in the upcoming season.

Yea, in college where he didn't have NFL quality CBs giving him press coverage. Whole different ball game. There is a reason WRs going a buck 70 usually don't do much in the NFL, but there are a few exceptions; will he be an exception or will press coverage doom him?

theres ways to get receivers away from press coverage.
hopefully the coaching staff is up to the task
