I don't think we will see those helmets, but have been thinking for years that there should be something over the helmet for better protection to the player wearing the helmet as well as the player getting hit by someone wearing the helmet. My thought was something along the lines of a gel type material like you find in cell phone cases.

I can see them adding micropads around the helmet but these current balloon heads are ridiculously large.

Post game interview: I know i wasn't looking when the pass came, but i had gummies before the game. When i picked up my helmet, i guess some got on there. I have the thank the QB for his accuracy - It didn't he the ground, right?

NFLPA always looking to help players play longer and safer. Perhaps they could flip it n go jell pullover first on the players head then covered by a close to traditional helmet.

It's funny because I don't dislike NHL uniforms.

But I think I would hate that change...maybe because I hate most change ...
