    Pickett's arm is...?

Not as good as Turbisky's. I can take away that. Is on Rudoph's level, ie weaker than say 75% of the starters? A little bit better than that say weaker than 66% of the starters? That's what I want to know. I do not think his range is the issue, it's the velocity or lack thereof. Any one watching the practices to compare and contrast? I'm talking a football guy, who's not affraid to speak up on the issue and knows what he is talking about.

Tomlin hasn't won a playoff game in seven years and counting. The earliest will be eight years. I guess that in Art Rooney's II, opinion is worth a 3 year extension.

Our 2024 draft looks to be grade A. Our 2023 draft is an A. The roster is talented, but Mike Tomlin is still the head coach.

*** Mike Tomlin is the best coach since the AFL- NFL merger that has not won a playoff game in 8 seasons or more. It's either him or Lewis. ***

Draft status aside, we need to ride with Trubisky and not feel pressure to put Pickett in. I've said since Day 1 that Trubisky will be better for us than Pickett

I agree, let Trubisky start the season and see how he plays and things go.

we have a tough early schedule, we're only favored once in our first 8 games until we get our bye in Week 9.

no sense in destroying our young QB's confidence early, we can always make a QB change during our bye week if necessary.

I did not get that impression when I watched him in a handful of games last year

yeah.. I think you should actually wait until you hear or witness reports from camp before making this assumption.

Attached to his shoulder? While you're waiting for a real football guy to give you the hard truth, there are plenty of scouting reports available and plenty of film to watch on the youtubes.

So far there have only been a couple of voluntary workouts in shorts. There is still mandatory workouts in shorts, then training camp in pads when actual playbook material is installed, then pre-season games, and about 100 days until opening day. Let's wait a few days before we declare the starting QB. I know that it's weird as a Steeler fan not knowing who the starter is, but we can have a little patience.

If he throws it through a car wash the ball WOULD get wet.

He was exposed in the Sr bowl when he failed to even attempt a show arm strength heave against no defense.

Sure he was 100 percent and a touchdown in the actual GAME but come on....what does THAT prove?

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

Mostly, "arm strength" and "velocity" is a given strength, but not over the top, nor does it need to be. At least not a liability, so to speak.

Agreed. Sufficient arm strength is what two generations of GOAT had.

They beat up on teams featuring cannon armed QBs.
