This horribly sad news. I hate even asking the question, but did this happen while he was gathered with the rest of the QBs and receivers at Trubisky's place?
Rest in peace young man.
Early morning leaving the Trubisky camp and heading to FLL airport. From what I've seen had car issue, got out and was clipped by a dump truck.
Wow. GOD Bless his family. This is horrible. This young man has touched a lot of people. Not sure why but this has hit me really hard. There is nothing that we can do or say to ease his family's pain but I genuinely feel for his inner circle. Rest easy young man!
It is times like this that wins, losses, draft positions, dropped balls, nothing matters but life itself. We all get caught in the emotion of the game. At the end of the day it's about loving those around you.

Reading the police report it almost sounds like he ran into the side of the dumptruck while trying to cross I595 which at certain points is five or six lanes in each direction.
In response to his pleas, an officer said: "You think we've never arrested somebody that's made national media? ... We deal with the Bengals all the time."
any chance the negative article about Haskins' lack of work ethic be removed from the front page of this message board when we log in?
thanks.
Agreed. It's tacky at best. I was driving back home to San Antonio when my dad called to give me the news. I refused to believe him at first. I'm heartbroken. I can't imagine what his family is going through right now and I pray I never know that pain.
What Gil Brandt said was deplorable, and I won't repeat it here. Instead of showing some sympathy and some common decency for this young man and his family, he decides to say something repulsive.

Be a better human being.
which is why I have strong views on the NFL when it comes to certain players evaluations.
Some of these folks are just toxic and hate players for the weirdest of reasons.
