Thats true only takes one. Read that he said he appreciated guys like Hill opening things up for smaller but speedier guys like him. Checked his March 24th pro day. He did 11 reps on the bench but didn't run. Interesting he did not take another shot at the 40.
Hey Dwins you need to find a way to get Austin in that sig mock of yours.Last edited by Iron City Inc.; 04-03-2022, 05:49 PM.Comment

I kind of get it tho , 1 misstep could cost you everything you worked so hard for ..... instead of potentially being a millionaire after the draft you could be a 5th or 6th round pick sitting your rookie year out on IR@dwinsgames on twitter .... Kenny Pickett is who I thought he was ....Comment

He’s got a crazy extra gear and is blazing fast on the field.
I like Dotson a little better and the way he’ll got get a ball in the air, but I like this kid a lot too.sigpicComment

What evidence lol? You realize that they use lasers to time a runner's movement to get the official time, and that the time on the TV is just an estimate that tries to time a player's starting movement? I think I'll trust the lasers to tell me how fast he is versus you pressing your spacebar telling me he is the fastest man on the planet

Back in the day I fell in love with Tarik Cohen due to his twitch and burst. Austin doesn't have his change of direction but his burst is one of the finest I've seen. He gets in and out of routes with such elite burst he turns corners around almost like breaking ankles on the basketball court. I think he will be successful in the NFL. With that said, he is tiny and will only be able to play the slot. He is limited. If he is pressed I don't see him easily getting off of the bump. But, I do see a place for him in the right system and he is very dangerous. Would I spend a third on him? Absolutely. Would I spend a second? No. Due to his limitations.Thats true only takes one. you might wanna try again ... go watch his combine video of the 40 ... use the spacebar to stop and start the video on your pc ... watch the 40 yard line marker and the guy hand timing them ... pay close attention to the time when he crosses that 40 and then see how far past it he has ran before the time stops ticking ....What evidence lol? I could post pics of it( and already did at the start of the thread ) but then people would claim they are altered , so do it yourself like I did and you will know they were not alteredLast edited by Dwinsgames; 04-03-2022, 11:55 PM.@dwinsgames on twitter .... Good lord, I don't know why I'm even arguing with you. They use literal LASERS to time when he starts moving forward and when he crosses. The time on the TV is an ESTIMATED time. If you look closely, the time actually starts late AND finishes late, because they tried their best to time it like the lasers. And they are pretty close actually. Usain Bolt bragged that he ran a 40 at 4.22. So if this guy is running a 4.03, like you claim, I look forward to a decade of gold medals by Team USA in the Olympics 100m.you might wanna try again ... go watch his combine video of the 40 ... use the spacebar to stop and start the video on your pc ... watch the 40 yard line marker and the guy hand timing them ... pay close attention to the time when he crosses that 40 and then see how far past it he has ran before the time stops ticking ....

BTW, I did time it myself using 0.25 playback speed and dividing the time, got 4.35s.
This guy is quick, but he didn't even have the fastest 40 time in this combine let alone the history of combines. I'm all for drafting him in 6 or 7 round if he's a football player too.Believe In NowComment

And I think there were lots of problems with the hand held times this year.What evidence lol? If you want to know how it's done and why the differences in times go here;
It's the highlight of the NFL Scouting Combine every year and an event that has become known as the "dash for cash...
Interesting to note that they dropped fully automated timing (FAT) because they believed it would lead to slower times that players would end up being upset about. So they use a hybrid manual start with a laser plane at the end. btw, the laser can be on the opposite side of the view in the photo, so the 'fat man' wouldn't interfere.Comment

been there done that ....... a quote directly from that article .....so the fat man isnt in the way then I guess the other 3 people come into play ..................... one of which is DIRECTLY in line with the finish lineThe NFL experimented with FAT at the 2012 combine. However, those results weren't released, as according to Rang's report there was a concern that those times, which were expected to be considerably slower, could rankle players: And therein lies the rub. Unless the NFL adopts FAT, the 40-yard dash will be what it has always been: a subjective exercise.
There's even some dispute as to the fastest time since 1999. The NFL recognizes Johnson's 4.24 seconds, but as Rang wrote, NFLDraftScout.com calls Trindon Holliday's time of 4.21 seconds in 2010 the top mark (the NFL adjusted Holliday's time all the way down to 4.34 seconds).
Thus, while the 40-yard dash times of players at the combine are fun to talk about, they aren't necessarily completely accurate.Last edited by Dwinsgames; 04-04-2022, 11:10 AM.@dwinsgames on twitter .... Kenny Pickett is who I thought he was ....Comment
