A great QB class means a lot of teams will be over drafting and giving up premium picks to get in the top 5.

If we like Willis and he is there at 20 or we can move up 2 or 3 spots to get him we better make a move while its “on the cheap”

I don’t want us to draft a QB just to draft one but I also don’t want us to wait for the perfect draft class to try and compete for one of these guys who still could end up being a bust.

I want the Josh Allen or Mahommes who is available later in the first vs trying to elbow our way into the top 5.
I think the point is that QBs don't fall in a bad class, they get elevated.

QBs are always over drafted, even in good classes.

I think they will be over drafted more in bad classes.

I just hope we're not the ones over drafting them.

Especially when there's lots of other work to do on the team (and with the cap).

Considering it's a weak class and a bunch of teams got their QB last two drafts, are there really that many teams that think any of the QBs coming out are better than what they already have? I'm thinking maybe 3 teams might consider a 1st round QB. The rest will probably try to wait it out and get a bargain on Day 2.

I’m not concerned with the whole class, just concerned with what might be available this year at 20ish when we pick and if he checks all the boxes.

I’m fine if we wait and see what MR has. I’m hoping we are pleasantly surprised by what we have on the roster once they have a full camp.

I would just hate to see us pass up the next “Herbert” or Allen if there is one in this class.

Pet peeve - this is a "perceived" weak QB class. We won't know if it was a weak class for years.

Remember that Mahomes and Watson were mocked to go at the bottom of the first round.

            Yep.

QB scouting is hard and often incorrect.

Hopefully if we pick a guy, he is a guy that turns into an above average QB (at least).

Qb scouting is probably the hardest thing in pro football. Nowhere near an exact science.

No doubt Colbert/ Tomlin are putting in
their due diligence. So if they pull the trigger in the first or second round then that’s who they really believe in.
