AZ Cardinals for the 2023 SuperBowl???

What’s with home teams in the SuperBowl the last 2 years. Tampa Bay last year and LA this year.

Back to back SuperBowls that are effectively home games.

    Has this happened before?

Anyone ready to take a flyer on the Cardinals for next year since the 23 SuperBowl will be in AZ?

Part of me feels like the NFL may be influencing outcomes that will help
    fill stadiums during a pandemic.

Maybe its a coincidence but the timing seems suspect.

I'm pretty sure that last year was the first time a team played at home in the SB.

To my knowledge it was. Pretty amazing when you think of all the Super Bowls that were played it took until year 55?
Help me find my post proving I am a Yinzer!

I will tip my hat to Tomlin if he has a winning record and the team makes the play-offs in the upcoming season.

Yea I always knew this and thought it would change eventually, came close a few years ago with the Vikings hosting the nfc championship and the super bowl but they lost to the eagles, the closest it ever came was the rams in 79 when they played the stillers in Pasadena, crazy though that it took 55 years then it happens back to back…

the browns are still looking to play in one haha

But You also have to take into consideration the number of super bowls that were played in college stadiums and not an nfl stadium.
How is it possible to have the best owner, best front office, best gm, best HC, good/great drafts every year and good FA acquisitions every year, but only have 3 playoff wins in 14 years?

And in sunny climates. A lot of northern teams have went to the Super Bowl. Just count the trips of the Steelers, Patriots, Bills, and Giants.

Was there a Super Bowl at Giants Stadium?

well my point is once you have the home team in the SB it doesn’t really matter who the other team is..

and while Cincy isn’t a big market Joe Burrow is still a college legend so I think he will have all of Ohio and SEC country tuning in.

28 SB’s have been in Miami, New Orleans and LA.

which is why the home team never hosted until last year… lol.

As it should be; I'm sick of non-suitable cities force feeding SBs in their towns. Hello, SBs should be played in warm climates in party cities without exception. Who the hell wants to visit Detroit, Jersey or MN in February? Such foolishness. SBs should be played in NO., Miami, Tampa, LA, Dallas, AZ and now LV. That's it. If your an NFL town in cold climates, too F'n bad. Get over it, you don't deserve a SB, no one wants to freeze come SB time.

                            Disagree.
The super bowl should rotate to all cities that can meet the requirements.
Why shouldn’t they get some revenue?

SB XIV was in Pasadena, basically a suburb of LA and 14 miles from their home stadium. That was as close before these last two, and basically a home game.
