    Not hard to be ‘right’ when you cover all your bases.
    huh? I wasn’t even right.. lol. We won 9 games. I said Ben and company could get us 9 wins.. and Minkah and Watt could help us win 2 more games.

    clearly I said 10-7 or 11-6 in that post.

    the proof is right on front of you.

    I also said Dotson would be a hige factor and boom, I was right. Once Dotson went down we struggled even more on offense.

      That might give some indication of whether it was the QB or the WR.

      But when I look at this, I see that the WRs are all higher for the QB that most people would say had a better season and all of them were lower for the QB that most people would say had a worse season.

      I think we could identify it as the WR if say Cincy Chase and Higgans were 9th and 15th and then Boyd was like 70th. That would suggest that the QB was throwing good balls, but one of the WRs couldn't make plays (assuming all the players were getting similar type targets). Edited to add: I bet if we put Ray Ray on here, we'd see a lower number than our 2 guys. Suggesting that the difference is more on the WR. But I could easily be wrong. Maybe a way to test my thought here?.

      Since the WRs seem to be well grouped with the two QBs, I think we can't tell much from this. Although I guess with similarly ranked WRs, it might suggest that they would also be similarly ranked with a better / worse QB too?

      I think that's why it was suspicious last season that all of our WRs had problems dropping balls. When it's one WR with lots of drops, I think it's clearly on the WR. When all the WRs have lots of drops, I think it's more of an indication that the passes aren't great. Although it's certainly possible that a whole receiving corps (and TEs) aren't good.
      Don't have numbers for RayRay but Washington was 89.2 with only 26 catches.

      If it was QB only, then teams with good QBs should have mostly highly rated WRs.

      The breakdown of # of WRs with a QB rating 100+ when targeted:

      TB = 3
      KC = 3
      LAR = 3
      CIN = 3
      GB = 2
      DAL = 2
      BUF = 2
      ARZ = 2
      LV = 2
      DET = 2

      Then there is about a dozen teams with one WR with a 100+ rating. Evidence seems clear that the QB makes the WR. Maybe giving us some hope that a change at QB will elevate Claypool and DJ?

        I certainly agree with this (except in exceptional cases).

        Hopefully the next QB we get (or the one after next season) is good enough to elevate the guys around him.

          Why don’t you find your other posts where you made different win predictions and post those!
          How is it possible to have the best owner, best front office, best gm, best HC, good/great drafts every year and good FA acquisitions every year, but only have 3 playoff wins in 14 years?

            Why don’t you provide evidence of all these fans you accused of being homers instead of deflecting.

            Nice try buddy.. either you have the evidence of fans loving every draft pick or you don’t..

            and we all know you don’t.

            I already admitted my predictions changed from 12 or 11 to 11 or 10 wins. No shame in my prediction game.

              Of course there were a few who didn’t give out all As and Bs.( they were labeled trolls and not true fans)
              I said the majority of fans have been giving those grades for years. Thus admitting that we did indeed draft talent.
              I won’t waste my time posting them for you because you will move the goalposts, just like you were about your win predictions.
              Even if I couldn’t find any posts to support my claims, I’ll just use your coverall and say I changed my mind. Seeing this is a message board I can do that with no accountability.

                I think admitting you can’t find those post because you just made the statement up is the honorable thing to do.

                Some would even call it… the truth.

                I mean, I admitted my predictions fluctuated and ALL of them were wrong. We won 9 games.. closest I got was 10-7.

                but its probably a good idea to blame
                me for no longer providing evidence to anyone else about “all those fans”
