Hard to believe that the offense even practices because it seems like you could just grab 11 random offensive players off other team’s practice squads a day before the game and be equally productive against the Chiefs.

When you have WRs dropping 5 yard passes that literally any high school kid can catch, you aren't winning anything. Add in the fact that on every 3rd and short we dial up a bomb down the sideline to a WR that falls down every time and a Qb that can't throw farther than 10 yards, it's just a complete disaster.
Remember when we used to throw screens and dump offs to Najee? How about having our 2nd rd 'stud' TE run a 10 yd route over the middle? Nope.Comment

Not so sure about that. Tomlin has fired coaches within the week after they had their last loss of the season. He did with Fichtner. And besides. The new GM won't be coming in til after the draft.6- Time Super Bowl Champions......

how does that effect trading away a possible top 10 pick? They extended him before that.
I'd have to go back and check, but the cap hit of him getting cut or retiring after the injury year would probably have been insane (pulled all SB money into last year).
I think the extension was written in a way that he had to play it out no matter what (and maybe we were always basically locked in to the dummy year thing after anyway).
He's done the impossible before. Let's see if Old Man Ben has a great half left in him.
I'll keep my towel twirling. And I'll be grateful for his career no matter how tonight ends up.

so you keep him for a year with a rookie qb learning and cut him the year afterComment

Like last year, I want OL more than any other position group in the first.
But we have enough holes that we should take BPA.
Having guys that can tackle on D would help...Fitz had a nice stick earlier in the half.Comment

Maybe I misunderstood what you said.
I thought you said that they decided to keep Ben when they made that trade. But I think they decided to keep him when they made the short extension.Comment

I guarantee you could pull 11 guys out of the stands and they could get 45 yards of offense.Comment

Yep. Doesn't matter who they draft...it'll be a drop in the ocean.Comment

It would be nice if we could throw those bombs a bit deeper when Chase has a half step on the CB.Comment
