    The underrated key to victory

There are two factors that are an easy call. We need

    1. "Good Ben" for an entire game and
    2. TJ needs to show up for the first time in a playoff.
As good as he has been in the regular season we might as well have had Jarvis Jones in the playoffs the way TJ played.
Save for Aaron Rodgers, we win when TJ has at least 1.5 sacks the last couple of year (even when the 2nd is stolen from the record books).

But the there is 3rd element that is overlooked.

The ever despised villain CHASE CLAYPOOL has to be featured and be on his game.

Is he consistently good like DJ, Harris, or Friermuth? No.
The very fact that he is INCONSISTENT is why his play will be a determining factor.

When all those other guys show up our offense is consistently AVERAGE.
Average offense wont win THIS game.

Only ONE PLAYER can go from the doghouse to AMAZING from one week to the next and that is Chase.
When he is on his game and we USE HIM heavily....our offense CAN be great.

Or he "might" screw up opportunities. Which is why he gets heat.

Nevertheless, I assure you we will NOT win this game against a better team if we dont take the risk of featuring him.
I suggest we go high risk/reward and shock them by attacking with Chase frequently.

Good Ben/regular season TJ/ and human highlight game Chase show up and we win.

Playing it safe, even with a mistake free Ben will at best result in a closer loss than the last time.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

JuJu may help Claypool. Even as a decoy it will benefit him in the passing game.

One interesting stat is Mahomes has never thrown an INT in a home playoff game. Steelers must turn that around.

I'm not sure that DJ is "Consistently good". I recall a fumble and a really bad drop recently.. with the latter potentially costing us the W (if not for the hated Ray Ray).

Know who has more pass attempts BLOS than Roethlisberger?
        Mahomes has 144.
        Roethlisberger has 109.
KC has been especially ballhawking in the last month.
        Turnovers will win/lose the game.

          Don’t forget about Juju.

While we did lose to the Browns last year, it was Juju that had the most receptions and yards in that playoff game.

          13 catches
          157 yards
          1 TD

And Ben may want to make a point of trying to get Juju the ball 10-15 yards down the middle of the field to help open up the running game.

I think Juju is a guy Ben trusts to make catches.

Let’s start the game like we’re down 14 and it’s 3 and 4th and long every play. Ben need to push the ball downfield and make things happen.

Maybe Ben can pretend he can’t hear Canada from the booth and just call his own game.

Was disappointed in that move. Tomlin can be stubborn to a fault sometimes. And with the first shanked punt you will hear the uproar from the masses.

Likely only way we win it is pass rush creates about 5 sacks and we get at least a +2 in turnovers. All starts n ends up front. It is possible. KC is not unbeatable.

We are not going to make Mahomes come out of character if we can’t stop the run. CEH was a bust pick for them and Williams is and has been the superior RB.

I did think you have to look any further for an indicator then their run game

Sadly "up front" is the worst part of this Steelers team...
Pretty much the main reason no one gives them a chance in this game.

I agree, Chiefs play a lot of man coverage, we need to heavily feature Claypool with a combination of routes.

KC doesn't give up many sacks. So I don't think TJ is going to have monster sack numbers.

And I'll settle for not bad Ben. Especially if we can run (KC I think has the 2nd worst run D... To us of course)

Anybody like what they saw of Ulysees Gilbert in the Cleveland game? I kind of did. I haven't given up on Bush completely. I feel he is still making is way back from ligament surgery. Schobert has probably been better than Bush but he doesn't stop the run that great either. I'd like to see more of Gilbert today. He looked to me to fill with better power than we have seen from Bush.

Fun fact. Heyward was on injured reserve the ONE TIME we got to the AFCCG during his career.
