Give the Chiefs something that they weren't expecting that is greatly different than what they planned for. Rudolph just gives you a different QB with a similar style.
    I'm with you TO.

He has 7 4th quarter comebacks this year (almost 8 in the Vikings game), probably the most in the league and definitely the highest of his career. I swear the disrespect Ben gets even from the team's own fanbase is something else. The Vikings, for example, were not backing off in that game.

So we play ultra conservative for the majority of the game and rely on / pray that the D can keep it close.

Then we open up the O a bit at the end of the game.

That way we limit the dangerous reps and hope that the small sample size leads to a good outcome.

It's kind of the modern day version of how Cowher used Ben.
Exactly. We play in our own fears.

That makes sense when we are down 20 but the offense does better in the 4th when only down 6 or 3 as well.

So why. It change things up. See how MR can do during the 1st 3 Qs. The bring in Ben to clean up in the 4th.

I know this sounds stupid. But if we really want to surprise the Chiefs and change things up, MR trotting out on the 1st series would be a shocker.

Maybe MR could extend a drive or 2 with his legs. Or buy the WRs and TEs some time to get open down the field vs the 2 sec release.
I would be more inclined to suit up Dobbs and give him a few plays during the game in 3rd and shorts, or 4th and 1 or 2's. Something different for the Chiefs to think about.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:
