    Green should be replaced

He get manhandled. He's a poor pass blocker and run blocker. He's flag prone. And he's a bad shot gun long snapper. Bad competition does not make him look good.
Tomlin hasn't won a playoff game in seven years and counting. The earliest will be eight years. I guess that in Art Rooney's II, opinion is worth a 3 year extension.

Our 2024 draft looks to be grade A. Our 2023 draft is an A. The roster is talented, but Mike Tomlin is still the head coach.

*** Mike Tomlin is the best coach since the AFL- NFL merger that has not won a playoff game in 8 seasons or more. It's either him or Lewis. ***

He has not been cutting it granted. He likely is the best we have at this time or that veteran would be in there. He'll have to do for now.
Hope for improvement and if it doesn't happen he'll be in a battle to start in 22. As a 3rd rounder we expect that level of player to be a starter however it doesn't always happen that way. If he becomes a solid back up then that's not really that bad of a selection. Lets see how it plays out through 17 games.

One of the greatest Steelers tackles of all time JOHN JACKSON looked like dog poo his first 3 years in the league. Green might still develop gives effort. He needs to bulk up in the weight room, and i still say he gets moved to guard where he is better suited.

Sigh…..those that have kids know that hard as you try to teach them and prepare them for life - they have to experience what life throws at them before the light bulb comes on. Same thing for rookies in the NFL. Very few play lights out their first year. Green is in a trial by fire. The experience he’s getting is far more valuable to his growth than anything else. We’ll see what he learns, what he takes to heart and how he prepares for next season. With any luck, in 20 years or so he’ll be putting on a gold jacket and threads like this will join the similar threads after ‘bustamalu’s’ rookie year.

and its not like the rest of the line is filled with monsters. Its a young OL for the lost part. Thankfully the staff has more patience than fans

Joel, I hear you but we've no choice but to let this play out with his development. Let's see where he is in a couple of years. Then we can make a proper analysis.

              what did people expect?

it takes time to overhaul an OL, it doesn't happen overnight.

Not sure if it's technique or lack of strength but its disheartening to watch him get overwhelmed play after play. I wonder what they discuss watching game field when he is consistently pushed back into the backfield 3 or 4 yards. Forget making an actual push, he's getting blown back.

If he has any pride , he should be embarrassed getting dominated over and over again.

Meanwhile ,Creed Humphrey manhandled the Raiders nose tackle all night.

Where is Oviedo ? He’s always defending the drafting of Green. Hes usually telling us how “management never makes a mistake” . What a shock.

Let the young man take his lumps and learn. We shall see what kind of improvements he can make from year one to year two with an offseason of NFL level training and development. That is if he puts in the work to improve his game.

This. We've already made our bed here.

I think I've been as critical as anyone on this pick, but we've got to let it play out and hope for improvement. He's still a rookie. And a young one too I thought.

He was so bad his nickname was The Swinging Gate. Jackson turned into a nice OL though. It takes longer for some.
