I am leaning toward your take, but I am hearing that Ben may miss San Diego
I want to see him with a full week of taking the starter reps. Now don't get me wrong, I feel there have been plenty of backups that acquit themselves coming in unexpectedly in-game.
But I will give him some benefit of the doubt given the situation he had this week.
He’s flashed potential, and he looked good in college. But he’s had multiple opportunities thus far to make his case and to say it plainly - is there even a whiff of a qb controversy in the ‘burg? Many keep finding excuses. I only care about results. I think he’s a career backup, not our future and is too expensive for too little return.
-Extremely flat footed in the pocket
-Has little zip on the ball
-When he misses, he misses big
tough kid though, seems nice and easy to root for, I hope he does well but I feel it’s not going to work out, give him a full week of preparation and a dryer game (I know it was bad for both teams and he has to deal with it). Hit ray ray in the end zone, hit Johnson on the slant and they are 6-3 with people saying it was a decent performance, unfortunately he missed badly with two big time mis throws.
Wasn’t broadcast here, but from what I read I am more concerned with the play calling, injuries, and poor tackling.
See I thought the play calling was pretty good, Rudolph missed a wide open Mcloud Td and a wide open Johnson who gets a big first down and possibly a TD. I dont know if you saw the first TD but it was to a wide open Washington.
