They have serious problems right now...the lines on both sides are horrible...you can't run which means you can't ball control to keep the other teams offense off the field. And you can't stop the run because you don't have the big nasty's on the D Line to stuff the run/gaps to stop the run.
I can't see a game moving forward they will be favored in...perhaps the 1 Browns home game but that is so far away (1/3/2022) I am not sure what they will look like. At best, they will win two games moving forward. I doubt a total collapse but they aren't beating the Chiefs or the Ravens like this...
Titans at home - maybe
Vikings - not likely
Browns at home - maybe
So 1-2 wins give them 6-10-1 or 7-9-1Comment

Cam Heyward was blunt after the game. He said they won’t win another game if the defense plays like this. Not surprising but he didn’t sugar coat it like others. They have serious problems right now...the lines on both sides are horrible...you can't run which means you can't ball control to keep the other teams offense off the field. Watch and see.. theyll find a way to win a few more games.. just enough to move us out of a top 10 pick... and muddy the waters enough at the end of the season to think we may still be contenders in the eyes of the FO.
There will be a justification that injuries contributed to the subpar season... and yes... the FO will leave the door open for Ben for 2022Last edited by Ernie; 11-28-2021, 05:49 PM.Comment

If they bring Ben back next year, I will consider Steeler management are then taking advantage of fan loyalty by not trying to put a winning product in the field.Watch and see.. theyll find a way to win a few more games.. just enough to move us out of a top 10 pick... and muddy the waters enough at the end of the season to think we may still be contenders in the eyes of the FO.

Ben can’t get it done at the level that’s required to compete at the highest levels of the NFL.Comment

The last two years was the time to draft an oline and qb.
Giving away draft picks for ilb, and using high picks on rbs, wrs and tes was a waste.
Ben hasn’t looked good but his performance is mostly the result of poor drafting decisions and coaching. How is it possible to have the best owner, best front office, best gm, best HC, good/great drafts every year and good FA acquisitions every year, but only have 3 playoff wins in 14 years?Comment

Yeah but it doesn’t make it right. Which is my entire point.
This is a quarterback driven league; you’ve all said it over and over again. So if you don’t have a competent QB then you really are just fooling yourselves.
We cannot seriously compete with Ben anymore; If Rooney rolls him out again next year, then they are not serious about trying to win games. That’s a fact.Comment

that makes 2 games in a row the other team has scored over 40 points.
certainly can't expect to win any games like that, not with our offense.Comment

Check out the Jags playoff game if you don't think the ILB pick was important.
Our team was old. Turnover of rosters is a normal thing.
I agree that we held on to a couple of guys too long to try to force the window open... And it didn't work.Comment

So you're arguing that QB is more important than HC.Yeah but it doesn’t make it right. Which is my entire point.
