I appreciate Ben a lot, greatest Steelers QB of all-time.

not looking forward to life after Ben, that's for sure.

One thing I can say for me, from the first time Ben engineered a game winning drive late, I told myself I better enjoy this because it's unlikely to happen in my lifetime again. So, any chance I had to watch Ben play, I did, he took so many chances and made the game fun to watch. Of course, there were times you pull your hair out, thinking W(here)TF are you throwing it? I will miss Ben when he finally hangs them up. Except for the miss to a wide open Johnson tonight that would have saved all of us a lot of angst, Ben played pretty well tonight. His arm looks fine, a couple off target throws but not any W(hat)TF throws that I can think of, maybe a dump off when needing bigger yards for a first.

he's been pretty solid the last month. We'll need him to stay sharp because the last half of the season is a gauntlet of pain.......

I think about this a lot. You don’t know what you have until they’re gone. We went through some dark post-Bradshaw years until Ben came along. I’m hoping to avoid a similar drought once Ben calls it quits.

          Great drive by the HOFer.

            Thanks for bringing this up.

I agree that we will miss Ben when he's gone.

We haven’t seen one of those in a while.

My actual Ben hating Steeler fan had been silent for 3 weeks but after the Bears scored the go ahead he reached out..

              and then… lmao.

He predicted 6 wins max so he has been humbled. I will admit. When we were 1-3 and he posted the rest of the schedule I had a hard time finding 11 wins…

not its much easier to see 11 wins given how this season is playing out.

I'm really happy that the refs got the incomplete pass call correct in this one (unlike the last time that happened to him where they said his arm was going forward but the ball was going backward or something).

Back to back turnovers for TDs would not have been good.

I always laugh at this “dark days between Bradshaw and Ben”

Sure, we didn’t have a legit franchise QB but from 1984 to 2003:

                  10 playoff appearances
                  5 AFCCG’s
                  1 SB loss

Its amazing what dark days look like for Steeler fans.

I am not seeing what you all are seeing, I see a great player who just isn’t great anymore. That comeback should never have been. I know the other team makes plays, but the Steelers make plays to everyone within 5 vertical yards from scrimmage (front or back of). It is a very uninspiring performance most games by Ben. I sure hope he doesn’t talk the organization into another year, if he does they are doing themselves and their fan base a disservice. Have loved what he has done here and will miss it, but honestly I was ready for his retirement this year.

Thoroughly 110% disagree. IF he's healthy and has a good mind set at the end of the year, there's no reason why he shouldn't ask for another year. And Rooney will bring him back too. I expect it. He is being held back by this "Canadian Offense". These damn jet sweeps hardly ever work, and they are getting our WR's hurt out there. Now its Chase. We are becoming thin at WR, and that's a big problem.

See that’s were we differ, it’s nots Canadas offense it’s Bens. Ben is not capable of the movement I suspect they seek in running the offense. He is not flexible and looks stiff as a board, his arm is not that strong, and I am not talking about the occasional 40 yard toss. His intermediate throws have no power to them, they float. He has lost his magic and now is just showing his smoke and mirrors.

Yup- We have differing opinions. I think Ben's arm is as strong as its always been. The offense has changed to this quick pass, jet sweep crap that was installed last year under Fichtner and Canada. They even said it last night on MNF that the passing game was put in last year, really under Canadas influence. They mention he was the OC at Pitt during the same time Pitt went to Clemson and shocked the world with a 1 point victory. If those 2 teams would've played 9 more times, that Clemson probably would've beaten them those other 9 times (my opinion but probably a good bet) In other words, that one win was a fluke and thats what put Canada in the limelight? Please. That offense, I swear looks like some of the stuff our local high school runs. Its mediocre. It'll go nowhere even when Ben is long gone.

We needed a franchise QB to get over the hump. That was my point.
