How many sacks will Watt end up with?

He currently has 8.5 sacks in 7 games played. Is the NFL record possible for sacks in a season?
Tomlin hasn't won a playoff game in seven years and counting. The earliest will be eight years. I guess that in Art Rooney's II, opinion is worth a 3 year extension.

Our 2024 draft looks to be grade A. Our 2023 draft is an A. The roster is talented, but Mike Tomlin is still the head coach.

*** Mike Tomlin is the best coach since the AFL- NFL merger that has not won a playoff game in 8 seasons or more. It's either him or Lewis. ***

Anything is possible. I'd say it's not likely.

Not only is he not on pace for the record, the pace he is on is not rare.

Heck his brother had 20 sacks FOUR TIMES and never got the record.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

    TCFCLTC-
The Coach Formerly Considered Less Than Cowher

If he hadn't already missed time and was diminished due to injury, I think he would have a shot at beating the old record (22.5 in 16 games) in a 17 game season.

You never know because sacks come in bunches. But I'd bet the under on 22.5

He’s on pace for 24 assuming he plays the rest of the season.

        8.5 in 5.5 games is about 1.55 / game. If he plays the rest, he’ll play 15.5 x 1.55 = 24 sacks.

Right. And he's getting the Defensive MVP

I think it depends on how the team finishes and the voters will lean toward the best player on a good team.

If it’s close I think sentiment says TJ is due.

I know he has played more games but Garrett has 12 sacks.
Bears take a lot of sacks so let’s hope TJ has a big day tomorrow.

If the over/under was the Steeler single season record of 16...I'm taking the over

Remeber that Strahan broke the record on a gimme where they didn't block him and the QB fell down.

Favre was his friend and gifted him a sack.

It was shameful. His OL was doing all they could to protect Favre and not give up that record and Favre runs a bootleg and falls into Strahan’s arms.

                              It was gross.

Favre treated Strahan like the team manager who gets in during the last game
and both teams walk him to a TD.
