Makes sense. They only have Stafford below market value for 2 years ($20M cap hit this year $23M next year).

      That's probably their window.

They'll probably renegotiate this, but Donald's cap hit goes up by ~ $12M next year too. So next year might be harder for them to win cap wise than this year.

IMO...Rams are the new favorite to win the NFC. Definitely top 2

They were top two BEFORE this deal. I think they are the clear favorite now in the NFC.

I agree, Rams and Bucs are the top 2 favored teams in the NFC.

behind them are the Packers, Cardinals and Cowboys.

Should be an interesting race in both conferences IMO.

Bills and Ravens probably the class of the AFC?

Crazy that KC is 4th in their division.

Wonder what the Derek Henry's will look like if Henry is out for a stretch. And if they falter, does that hurt our bid for a WC if we can't win the division?

I don't think so. Only one team from that division will make the playoffs and it is the division winner - whoever that is.

This is what I thought before the injury.

Could the loss of Henry mean someone passes them in the division and they're fighting for a WC? Maybe not because that division stinks. Titans already have 6 wins. Jags and Texans can only max out at 11 and 10 respectively (and there's no way either team wins out). Maybe the Colts can catch them but they still have some tough games (@ bills, Bucks, @ Cards, Raiders).

Titans probably still win the division though with a 3 game lead (and a win against the Colts last weekend).

If they are fighting for a WC spot and Henry is out for the season, it makes our game against them in Dec (at home) look like a better matchup.

If the Steelers end up behind the Colts/Jags/Texans then the playoffs will be the least of the team's worries.

                      Probably true.

Will be interesting to see if the KC game decides a WC spot.

Crazy that they are 4th place in their division.

I doubt many people had that one at the beginning of the season.

especially since KC spent big to upgrade their OL this offseason.

Definitely makes the Tenn matchup week 15 look better.

i'm surprised the didn't jump at the chance of grabbing yet another piece for this defense
