having said that, I would have taken the points in a game where those are hard to come by.
LMAO...That wasn't a great call in any way, shape, or form...just stop...That was an incredibly stupid call! Always gotta defend Popcorn!

I just want to remind them how foolish they are

They can have opinions...my issue is for some they are constantly negative

actually, I'm not defending Tomlin's decision to try a fake FG there.

did you read my 2nd sentence by any chance?

It’s possible our kicker just got knocked out of the game with this hare-brained amateurish garbage call.
FWIW, I think this call was stupid because it's got to have a very small chance of success and we typically don't score many points.

I don't think it should be judged based on the injury (because that's a freak thing...and how the F___ is that not a penalty).

But it's stupid even without the injury IMO.

does anyone realize that he screwed up the last play of the game too?

let the clock run out and take the penalty. yardage doesn't matter at that point. taking the most time off the clock does.

but we WON !!!!!!!! tOMLiN YiNz a GeNiUs !!!!!!!!!!!!

No way I would have done that unless there was something they saw on film they could exploit. I have a hard time believing that thing could be Boswell with a direct snap and rolling out or throwing the ball. That said, being aggressive on the road is a well traveled path for the victors. As someone else stated, if it works out then everyone is praising the decision. Still would have taken the 3 points and the ball first in the 3rd quarter.

                      Are you sure about this?

The 2nd last play (2 yard run by Harris) gets to the 22. The play by play has that listed at 50s.

Then the false start false start they list with 6s left.

Do they let you keep running the clock down after you commit a penalty like that? If you're behind they probably run time off, right? Do they stop the clock if you're up?

It would be BS if they give you a whole new play clock for you to just keep running out the clock. Because then you'd start doing that anytime you had a lead with like 2 minutes left. Never run a play, but keep running down the clock.

Seems like something we would have seen exploited by BB or someone if that was the case.

Also, who ultimately controls how much time gets run off the clock by controlling when the ball is snapped?

Fakes are always "boneheaded" when they don't work.

no, romo said letting the clock go to zero would leave the game clock with 4 seconds. no reason to snap it there or call a timeout out. let the play clock bleed to zero. they (obviously) snapped it before that

if there was pressure on ben from the right side, the browns would likely have had a play left

That's interesting...and kind of a stupid rule IMO.

Who do you think is most responsible for calling for the snap and watching the game and play clocks?

lmao… now we didn’t win the game the right way on the last play.

You can’t make this stuff up.

I’m sure the fake FG play design was to run to the sidelines and take a shot to the helmet.
