There is only one more game before the trade deadline. The Steelers are currently 3-3. Could the willingness to be a seller at the deadline be as simple as win Sunday no selling, lose Sunday listen to offers?

Think about it. If the Steelers win on Sunday then this team is 4-3, on a three game win streak, and the sixth or seventh seed, which is basically in the thick of the action. A loss on Sunday puts the team below .500, last in the division, and 0-2 within the division. A much steeper hill to climb.

Regardless of whether or not it changes how we think about trades, this game is really important IMO.

much steeper but I think we have the Lions and Bears after that. Would love to be 6-3. after these next 3 games but 5-4 with 8 games left wouldn’t leave us out of the hunt.

          Pass on Ingram.
Tomlin hasn't won a playoff game in seven years and counting. The earliest will be eight years. I guess that in Art Rooney's II, opinion is worth a 3 year extension.

Our 2024 draft looks to be grade A. Our 2023 draft is an A. The roster is talented, but Mike Tomlin is still the head coach.

*** Mike Tomlin is the best coach since the AFL- NFL merger that has not won a playoff game in 8 seasons or more. It's either him or Lewis. ***

I think we really want at least 2 wins in the next 3, and I think we really, really want (almost need) one of the wins to be this week against the Browns.

                next 3 games:

                Browns favored by 3.5
Steelers favored by 4.5 over Bears
Steelers favored by 9.5 over Lions

So, we'll beat the Clowns and lose to the Bears and Lions. LOL just kidding. But can't say I'd be shocked by that.

I think the more likely scenario is
beat the Browns and Bears then lose to the Lions once the media gives the team praise.

On Twitter, Aditi Kinkhabwala is reporting that Ingram wants out of Pittsburgh because of a lack of playing time. The chiefs made an offer but we turned them down because we don't want to trade him to anyone in the AFC. Cardinals could come to make an offer next. That's the official word on twitter.

We need to get what we can for him. He doesn't want to be here and we are going to need all the picks we can get in the next draft.

Shame on him for signing then. He knew up front he was competing with a younger rising star. Maybe he thought he could beat Highsmith out but it didn't work out that way. Ingram's a good player. Hate to lose him but don't need the distraction.

If Ingram wants out, the Steelers will trade him before the deadline. They historically move players if they request out.

So we just move him because he says he wants out, and then we're left w/o any decent depth at OLB?

That would suck, and I don't think we should do it. He signed to play with us this year, hold him to his contract.

These FA and off season pick ups tend to be 50/50 on working out.

well that depends on his attitude and professionalism. Of he isn’t a cancer then yes, keep him but the last thing we need is a disgruntled player.

Not sure how I feel about not playing a guy but also not wanting to let another AFC tram have him because he is actually a really good player.

Maybe we rotate him on more to keep guys fresh. Hell, if he is good enough to keep away from other teams we need to use him.
