I wasn't online when Cowher was the head coach. While the losses in home AFCCG's were frustrating as hell I didn't want him fired or think he was a fraud. Our teams always played hard and we were rarely blown out. Tomlin's teams are the same way. Do I agree with every decision he makes? Of course not but I'm not screaming for his head because of a time out or 2 pt conversion... lmao.

Before Tomlin arrived Rhonde Barber was nobody but Tiki Barbers brother. Average, never made a probowl.

The only secondary player of note was John Lynch and he was more a hitter than a cover guy.

TOMLIN BUILT THEM INTO A HISTORICALLY GREAT UNIT.

He did more with less than ANY position coach that I can think of.

We know Whiz was also good with a HoF QB (but not as good as us in the SB).

the year beofre tomlin got to Minnesota and became their play caller, their passing defense was ranked 22nd in the league.
it ranked last in the year mikey was there.

clearly rising among the coaching ranks. lol
