I'm fine if we fire Tomlin.

This team sucks and he's the HC.

Got as low as 95% Saints. Was NO 65% with 4 mins left.

I missed the part when they recovered 2 onside kicks in 4 minutes though.

Again, I would have been fine if we went for the onside kick(s). It may have a better win rate... But I don't know because the chances of getting it back are so small when they know it's coming and the kicking team doesn't get a running start.

I wish they put in the 4th and 15 rule. I think that would give teams a better chance. We could dump it 5 yards behind the line and hope Najee can carry half their D 20 yards.

The offense is clearly the worse unit.

But we knew that would be the case.

The D has to be elite for us to win games.

The D (or ST) may have to score for us to win.

It's the Mason / Duck year again. Except we're scoring fewer ppg this year so far.

I think if we had a QB who gave a damn we could see an amazing comeback or 2 in one of these last 3 games.

Our QB isn’t even trying to throw past the sticks on 4th down.

I'm going to have to agree with you...He is even giving up because of the frustrations of the line and coaches...Ben needs to start throwing on Wednesdays with these receivers.

You really think he doesn't give a damn? Playing out what's probably the last year of his career? You think he doesn't care about looking washed up? With his kids watching on TV?

He's playing very poorly but not because he doesn't give a damn. If he didn't give a damn, he'd be watching from home in retirement.

I think he is not going to lay it out on the line if the coaches don't make changes or OL doesn't give him enough time...
so his last option is dump off before the sack.....I think there is an inbetween of caring and not for his body protection....

                      His kids? lmao

Palmer gave an interview and they asked a out his kids and he basically said “I’m just their dad, they don’t care what I do”

I’m sure Ben “cares” in some capacity but he damn sure doesn’t care enough to throw the damn ball past the sticks on 4th down.

I’m having a hard time thinking of a QB in the NFL who has four 4th down attempts
and none on their passes traveled beyond the sticks.

Its not like Ben is being dragged down by defenders or under immense pressure on these plays.

Its been 18 years.. its similar to Drew Brees last year when he simply couldn’t throw deep anymore. Maybe its psychological or its his knee and he is afraid but right now he doesn’t have IT and once that is gone.. its over.

Ben has never been a surgeon at QB, he is a slinger and if he can’t or won’t sling it then its time to wrap it up.

For the record, I doubt firing him fixes anything on offense...especially this season.

This is going back from memory so it may be clouded. Was there an OC in Steelers history (Joe Walton or Ray Sherman) that got fired in-season and the defensive minded head coach started calling basic plays? Determining that perhaps going back to the basics as opposed to these highly complicated offenses was a better approach?

Like I said I could be mis-remembering this...just a vague recollection of something of that nature.

Canada has supposedly already moved in that direction, scrapping the zone blocking for the most part, and you didn't see much pre-snap motion in the last game. Hate to repeat myself but this offense looks like one Rudolph was running in 2019.

your the one pointing out percentages my man. I supplied an example of it happening in yesterday’s games.

I asked what the saints percentage was and it was near what the packers had.
Trying to point out what they needed at the time is irrelevant.
these seem to occur on weekly basis. Of course we won’t see them here in Pittsburgh if the wrong decisions keep getting made

what did they need on the 4th and 1 play vs Oakland?

cant pass too far behind the sticks on that play… right?
