Ben is not the main problem!

the parlay is a great analogy cause it really highlights how hard this is.
and that’s why I’m a big believer in compounding interest. If each guy gets a little better, the overall bet improved considerably. Small improvements add up slowly but surely. And it’s why we have seen a lot of Mikey T teams improve as the seasons goes on.
Thought they looked better against GB. Not good, but better.Last edited by Northern_Blitz; 10-04-2021, 07:14 AM.Comment

Yet another miss that could have changed the game. These guys are gonna see this shatshow on tape in team meetings and are going to start to question their QB.

In yesterday's game, Muth was completely uncovered on the 4th and 4 play and Roethlisberger, with a clean pocket, never went through his progression nor looked his way. He made up his mind before the snap.

These 4th down plays are ridiculous. Ben has turned into Andy Dalton with these lame passes that have no chance of a first down.Steelers 27

Might be part of the reason they look like they've given upComment

Sorry, but Ben isn't the whole problem but he is a big part of the problem. He isn't seeing the field and he can't make the throws consistently anymore. He looks like a rookie panicking to get rid of the ball"My team, may they always be right, but right or wrong...MY TEAM!"Comment

And how much it's prescribed by the play call vs. how much control the QB has over the progression based on pre-snap read.
My guess is that a vet HoF QB has a lot of control at the LoS. But who knows. Ben specifically said that he has much less control than he did last year...at least re: no huddle, hurry up stuff.Comment

I think what we are seeing here, and it is something I've been saying for awhile, is that Ben is seeing ghosts and is afraid to take a hit whether he has time or not. If Ben was younger I think that it is something that you can work on with him. Unfortunately, even if you get the line right, Ben may not follow suit.Comment

Also...I'm old. The students in my class were not quite a decade away from being born when this was released.Comment
