Yeah, I saw, I'm just looking at it from a physical standpoint. I don't believe the problems are physical with Ben. His relationship with Canada I can't speak to, hopefully, they get it worked out, if there is anything negative between them.

What you are describing sounds like the youngest offense in the NFL.Ok, I think we can officially say that Ben's arm is fine. I watched the entire montage and getting the ball to the intended target is not the problem. Ben is seeing the field and picking out open receivers and not one pass was thrown in over 3 seconds. The protection for the most part was good. Of course, this was a highlight reel so there weren't any bad plays during the 12 minutes. Anyhow, after watching the clips and seeing the ball delivery and time in the pocket I'm not as concerned about Ben. I think consistency is the problem. They don't have enough drives (even if they end up in punts) where the offense gets a couple 1st downs before the punt. It seems like its feast or famine on their possessions, they either score points or go 3 and out, there's no happy medium to gain consistency.
The offense doesn't seem to have fluidity to it right now.

btw, nobody mentioned this but did you see Leatherwood got yanked at half time? Gruden decided he'd seen enough. I know he was one OL that some here were pimping at draft time.Comment

I hope your assessment is correct because that suggests that the issues are potentially fixable.Ok, I think we can officially say that Ben's arm is fine. you can’t see the forest thru the trees.
That’s the exact reason he should have went for it on 4th and 1.
the edfense wasn’t getting the stops they needed so is he asking them to stop a hot carr??
the only reason they got the ball back at the 6 minute mark is because gruden know how to play situational football.
why chance anything at that point when he could run 3 tubes and burn 3 minutes of clock. Making it virtual impossible for the Steelers to come backLast edited by NJ-STEELER; 09-20-2021, 06:31 PM.Comment

[QUOTE=T.Ferguson;84596he never learns, it's maddening.[/QUOTE]
I used to go at it with a poster a long time ago on another board who used called tomlin training wheels.
years later, I realize he was correct.
he’s still making bonehead decision like it’s it’s first year coaching.
like the 2point conversion from the 12.
like going for 2 after every TD costing us a win in Dallas.Comment

I think the math says going for 2 (almost) every time increases win percentage. Like how 3s in basketball are better than long 2s.I used to go at it with a poster a long time ago on another board who used called tomlin training wheels.

I thought it was bad that we went away from that strategy.Comment

After we lost Watt, Carr felt no pressure and with no pressure, we felt the absence of Haden even more. We should have went for it on 4th and 1 the same way the Raven's went for it at the end of their game in their 4th and 1 situation.you can’t see the forest they the trees.

the way it was handled. We needed to stop a raiders offense 2 times in the last 8 mins of the game. An offense playing well all game.
if they go for it and make it and go on to score.
The decimated defense likely only has to stop them one time
how are people not understanding this??Comment

Because what your saying is a direction reflection on Tomlin; remember, there are a lot of Tomlin apologist in this poster room. Never mind the fact this guy couldn't win with stacked teams in the playoffs for over the last 11 years. ANYTHING you say that is in direct reflection on Tomlin (showing his ineptness in situations) will immediately be meant with hatred and deflection.the way it was handled. That's what some of them do around here. But there are some very wise guys like you and I who see him for what he really is.Last edited by Steel Maniac; 09-20-2021, 07:51 PM.Comment
