Know it was a different situation, but going for it on 4th and 1. Guts to win.

Game really isn't for the timid.

Harbaugh is usually not afraid to make those calls. He knew giving the ball back to Mahomes was not an option.

I can point out that the Steelers Oline had little success run blocking.

Who do you trust more? Short handed defense or Oline? 50/50 decision? What's wrong or right?

The defense delivered a stop after the punt. Right decision. End of the debate.
I believe it was absolutely the wrong decision to punt. IF the team was playing well, the game wasn't lopsided, the offense had some semblance of rhythm and the defense was playing stout - yes, with that much time on the clock the punt is absolutely the correct call. But with an offense that was misfiring combined with a defense that was on the field WAY too much, missing critical starters, had just given up a splash 70 yard TD and who was totally gassed - the idea your 250lb QB couldn't sneak a foot, or our first round RB couldn't gain a foot, or we didn't even try to get them to jump offsides is (in my opinion) just a horrible decision. I agree the offense hadn't done anything to inspire confidence - but down two scores that's also the reason to try to stay on the field. This offense needs all the time it can get.

he's part of the reason they had to go for it. if he doesn't go for 2 too early they would have had a 3 point lead.

I think they punt in that situation knowing they still have OT if kc drives at the end and kicks a FG

Real life I punt. Big difference. Social media has a bunch of morons. So....

Again, the way the game played out proved Tomlin made the right decision at that point.
Are you for real? It was an AWFUL decision to punt the ball there. There was less than 9 minutes left in the game, the Steelers needed two scores and it was ONE yard for a 1st down. The Steelers stopped the Raiders, so what? 3 minutes had essentially expired so now there was 6 minutes left and the Steelers still needed two scores, the odds of the Steelers winning had definitely gotten worse at this point vs. when it was 4th and 1. The Steelers would then score on a crazy 56 yard FG but 2 more minutes had passed so now there was about 4 minutes left in the game and the Steelers still need a TD, do you understand how clock management works? Because Tomlin clearly doesn't have a clue.

The offense had some semblance of rhythm? Ok.

Even after the situation played out as expected people still believe it was the wrong decision to punt. Go figure.

Your only saying it was a bad decision because the defense didnt get the stop, we had enough time we just didnt execute. You would of complained the other way if we went for it and turned the ball over on downs right there.

what did thy say on the INT intedend for DJ.

the TV crew pointed out how DJ stopped his route looking for a call making it an easy INT for the raider DB.
wondering if the radio crew mentioned something similar
                  Steelers Nation radio.

Don't remember the call on the INT though.

I was upset about an early turnover. But I didn't make a firebrick about who's fault it was because I didn't see it.

Yesterday the Steelers needed a yard and were down 9 , with 8 minutes left, and punted...

Last night the Ravens needed a yard , in their own territory, up one, against Pat Freakin Mahommes and went for it...

But one doesn't live in his fears LMAO

I said, IF the offense had show some rhythm. They hadn't. That was the point. You were 1 foot away from keeping a drive going that we desperately needed. That's why it was the wrong decision. The way the offense was playing, opportunities to keep advancing were limited. Your point is that the decision was correct because the defense stopped the raiders next possession - even though it squandered precious minutes. Well, my point is the Steelers gave the ball back to the raiders - ran out of time and LOST the game. The decision to punt directly led to that loss.

Down 9, 3 SECONDS left..." Hey, let's throw a 5 yard pass to DJ, so he can get his knee blown out... There's no possible way to win this game, but let's do that "

So last week at Buffalo, down 10 with .22 seconds left and his timeouts, he kneeled on it...

This week, with less than .20 seconds left, and NO chance to win, INSTEAD of kneeling in it...He runs a ****ing 5 yard pass, and keeps his best WR's knee ****ed up...

                              HOF COACH right there!

There weren't any, which is why you bring in a legit veteran. Maybe there were good lineman in the 2nd round, but we chose to draft a TE (who has a cool 5 catches through 2 games btw).

I also notice nobody commented on Mike 'Lombardi' Tomlin's decision to dick around with 3 seconds left and get our top WR injured.
