Tomlin hasn't won a playoff game in seven years and counting. The earliest will be eight years. I guess that in Art Rooney's II, opinion is worth a 3 year extension.

Our 2024 draft looks to be grade A. Our 2023 draft is an A. The roster is talented, but Mike Tomlin is still the head coach.

I will tip my hat to Tomlin if he has a winning record and the team makes the play-offs in the upcoming season.

Disagree. Chuks had a decent game in pass pro.

Numbers aren't adding up for Steelers' 2nd-year running back Najee Harris

                JOE RUTTER | Sunday, Nov. 6, 2022

With the NFL expanding its season to 17 games a year ago, a running back needs to average just 59 yards a game if he is going to produce a 1,000-yard season. Najee Harris is averaging 45 in his second year with the Pittsburgh Steelers, a pace that would put

If he is 'caring too much' and these are the results it just might benefit him to sit for a few weeks or at least take a backup role. Sometimes some days off can clear the head better than keep grinding and hoping to power through whatever he is dealing with. Besides, as Tomlin likes to say it's a performance based business and Harris ain't performing.

                    From the Post-Gazette:

The Steelers have four rushing touchdowns — three are by their quarterbacks — and are one of just three teams without a run of at least 20 yards. More than half their rushing yards (759) have come by players other than Najee Harris, who is averaging just 3.3 yards per carry and has not been the player they wanted to rely on in 2022. The one positive is undrafted Jaylen Warren, who does what Harris doesn’t do enough — hit the hole.

You pulled a quote of mine from a year ago, mid-way through the season. It was too early to call him a bust at that time. I still think it's not time to call him a bust. He's not played well at all this season, but he had an injured foot, a terrible o-line, the worst o-coordinator in the NFL, and no one fears the passing game, so he gets no help there. I've said it before, I'd go with a lot more touches for Warren just to shake things up.

He only averaged 3.9 last year as well. He is looking an awful like Trent Richardson at this point.

This one's for the fantasy football enthusiasts, many of whom are kicking themselves for using a high first-round pick on Pittsburgh Steelers running back Najee Harris.

Of course, the Steelers and their fans are probably disappointed in the Alabama product too.

Harris was sensational as a rookie in 2021. He finished with 1,200 rushing yards, 74 receptions, 467 receiving yards, 10 touchdowns and a Pro Bowl nod. With Ben Roethlisberger retired, Harris was supposed to carry the offense as the Steelers transitioned to rookie first-round quarterback Kenny Pickett.

This year, however, the 24-year-old has been a bust. Harris has averaged just 3.3 yards per carry, hasn't topped 74 rushing yards in a game and has three combined touchdowns. Instead of being a bell-cow back, he's started to cede touches to undrafted rookie Jaylen Warren.

Some have even called for Warren to replace Harris as the starter.

"First of all, I’m putting Warren in there, I’m starting him the next game. If I’m coach, that’s who’s starting the next game" former Pittsburgh Post-Gazette Steelers insider Ed Bouchette told 97.3 The Fan (h/t Parker Abate of Steelers Nation). "I think Warren has shown, stats and the eye test, that he’s a better running back right now."

Now, Harris was more of an accumulator than a breakaway back in 2021 (3.9 yards per carry), but most expected more than this for an encore. Harris has been below average this season, and it's fair to wonder if his strong start and quick decline are mirroring the career arc of a true Alabama bust, Trent Richardson.

I read today NH is at the very bottom of the list of all RBs who qualify for the lowest ypc. Dead last, 40-someting. And he's supposed to be the "bell cow" back? It's a good thing that Shades "relates" to him. It's a good thing that Shades makes his decisions on his "gut feeling" and if he "vibes" with a player. What a brilliant way to make crucial decisions for this team. Is it any wonder we are 2-6?
